First I am hearing of it. Got a quote for a heavier duty foam that doesn't fit the specs of either open cell nor closed cell. Specifically, it becomes a full moisture barrier at 6 inches thick. It's R value for 6 inches is R-27 which is a bit more than standard open cell foam. Is this really a thing? On the quote line item it is listed as "AG800MD", but not clear. I am wanting to use it on the roof of a climate zone 5, so it absolutely must have the moisture barrier that closed cell does.

I am in the process of switching my attic from gable + box vents, to soffit vents + ridge vents. Getting a roofer out to do the ridge vent part. For the soffit part - do I rip out what I have and buy premade soffit vents? or just drill my own holes? it’s a layer of wood and aluminum to deal with. if drilling, how many and how big of holes? like 6x 1” holes per bay cavity with a screen on top? or like 50 3/8” holes?

goal after this is to put up some baffles that go all the way to the ridge vent, and insulate + smart barrier. want to make my attic go from vented to conditioned for HVAC reasons.

have an unconditioned attic I am wanting to switch to conditioned. Will close off the 6 or so box vents. plan to slap up some unfaced fiberglass with a smart membrane. will that be enough to let the deck dry from the inside?

I see conflicting opinions on adding soffit vents and ridge vents and baffles… but if I don’t need it, great. I currently don’t have ridge vents or soffits.

Split system, floor 1 is HE furnace with humidifier in basement. Floor 2 is heated by 80% furnace in the attic (no humidifier). Is the downstairs system going to properly humidify the home, or will it fall behind / always feel dry upstairs?

On Fulgora.. I am

a) Finding 3 or so small islands with 25 mil trash, and putting a mining depot on them
b) Finding a very large island to make my tech base
c) Putting a train depot dumping 4 green belts of trash
d) Recycling those 4 green belts at belt speed
e) Using the ENTIRE large island (empty space) full of batteries to store lighting
f) Turning that into aprox 400 pink science per minute and feeding 1 shuttle (something like https://factorioprints.com/view/-OKv5x1rQN3P8T8GWTeP )

At my modest 3k science goal.. I need to do this 7 more times?

Of note this is not my main base with my mall etc., this is a pure large island dedicated.

Trying to figure out what other knobs I have. I am maxing productivity. Lots of speed beacons. This is going to be obnoxious.

I am playing a game of 10x research cost, train world. I didn't touch resource density or frequency. Uhh. Does this mean I am doing to need to take 30 iron and 30 copper patches? I am not seeing anywhere near this amount. Was I supposed to 10x density?

I need to figure out what I need to do next.

What I have done:
* Classic playthrough
* Spaceage playthrough
* Spaceage + deathworld Playthrough
* Quality dance up to lots of legendary

What I have never done:
* Ribbon world
* Any mods
* City block style base
* Crazy SPM
* Main any base except Nav (i.e. my vulk exported artillary and orange science, nothing else).

Can't decide what is next. Do I just take over a previous save and try to city block it? Play at designing blueprints? Do I just switch to using Vulk as a main next run? Do I go down some crazy complicated mod? Help me decide!!!!

In Puerto Vallarta late May / early June. Have been to other tourist hot spots (Cancun, etc), and am shocked at how few gringos I am seeing. Like 5% or less? And I am not talking in working class neighborhoods, I am talking on the beach at resorts, or at Costco(!!!). Is early June just low gringo time? Are Americans still scared away from the chaos from cartels? I am just surprised at the makeup I see.

None of this a complaint, really just curious. Loving PV and all the people here.
