I'm a DC fan who really liked the movie and, the admittedly little I know about the character. Any advice where to start for a new Captain Marvel fan who has never even picked up a Marvel comic?

As I've said I'm DC fan (Superman and Supergirl mostly) and the prospect of trying to dive through decades of comics history is *slightly* terrifying!

Mystical Freaky Friday-style bodyswaps can and do happen in real life but no one talks about them openly because they're worried they'll be considered deluded.

A lot of apparent sudden shifts in personality, job performance, switching from Coke to Pepsi, etc, etc is actually because the individual in question has body swapped.

In the 1940s accidently causing the death of a life guard while acting flirty was just one of those things (1948 'Mopsy' strip by Gladys Parker)

Favourite character who is actually sort of sociopathic in the source material but now everyone will just remember her as some sort of wise beach therapist?

Who was the worst boyfriend?

Calvin Weir-Fields from Ruby Sparks

Josh Beeman from Companion

Baron "Bear" Bailey from Obsession

"You're a genius, you're a genius, you're a genius, you're a genius": Anyone else reminded of 'Ruby Sparks' (2012) watching 'Obsession'?

Yes it is not quite as dark as 'Obsession', even if that scene (if you've seen the film you know) is horrendously disturbing, but I was reminded of it. Calvin is less passive than Bear and paradoxically less of an awful person despite being less 'nice' but there are similar themes of control and loving a shadow and Ruby herself is almost the flip of Nikki - the perfect girl who literally became real versus the real girl who was forcibly turned into an ideal.

Companion (2025) is a perfect... er... companion feature to 'Obsession'. Lot of thematic similarities! Anyone else fans of both?

I'm guessing Iris and Nikki would have a lot of notes to compare.

>!As would Josh and Bear, y'know while they are both in Hell.!<

Even many people who were meh on 'Supergirl' as an overall film tended to like Milly Alcock's actual performance. How would you like to see her version of Kara used in the DC cinematic universe going forward?

Going to the movies frequently can be a relatively inexpensive hobby so long as you do a little work

First of all I do completely understand that if you are paying for a family of four on a peak Friday with everyone expecting popcorn it can cost an arm and a leg.

But a lot of people seem to think going to the cinema at all is absolutely ruinous when it really isn't if you follow a few basic tips. I'm far from rich but I go to the cinemas about 80 times a year and I'd be paying more if I just went to the pub for a couple of hours every week.

First, avoid 3d and IMAX unless the film is 100% built with those kind of gimmicks in mind. Not only do they jack up the price 90% of the time you are paying more money for a worse viewing experience; I don't want to see a romcom or a drama through murky glasses.

Second, movie passes are your friend (I live in Ireland so use Cineworld but most cinema chains have something similar.) They tend to start saving money if you go to just a couple of films a month.

Third, concession nights are also your friend. Most cinemas have some night a week where tickets are cheaper than usual. Shop around and you can probably find a good deal if you plan ahead.

Fourth, if you are going to a movie solo never ever ever buy refreshments in the cinema itself. Smuggle in your own chocolate, soft drinks or water. Save the giant popcorn buckets that are seemingly made from literal gold judging by their price for when you are on a day or bringing the entire family to see a Pixar flick.

Five, enjoy the experience! This isn't strictly a money saving tip but if you go in with the mindset that "I'm going to the movies" is a vibe in and of itself you'll just enjoy yourself more. You aren't just paying for the big screen you are paying to be wowed with the other patrons, to laugh along side them and cry with them and gasp with them. I remember going to see 'JoJo Rabbit' and the entire audience just gasped at a certain moment. Nothing quite like it.

Anyone found any WFRP adventures that would work well adapted to Old World?

Hey all,

I'm a long time WFRP player and I love the look of this system and I'm hoping to bring over some ideas, adventures included. I am running a Play by Post group through the Enemy Within for 4e WFRP but I want to test the waters with a simpler system (also I love a lot of the flavour especially surrounding magic).

It doesn't have to be official either, fan made works too!.
