My boyfriend had an interesting reason for wanting his tongue untied 😂

My boyfriend went to the dentist and asked for a referral to get his tongue untied. They kept asking why, and he refused to tell them the real reason 😂 Apparently, he just wants to make eating me easier. I’m crying 😭😂

I lost my cat, Shadow, today.

This isn’t my first time losing a cat. Years ago, I lost my first cat after he was hit by a car. He helped me through one of the darkest periods of my depression, and losing him completely broke me. I told myself I would never get another cat because I never wanted to experience that kind of pain again.

But then Shadow came into my life.

He was an all-white cat with one blue eye and one green eye. He was so mischievous. He loved hiding around corners just to jump out and surprise attack me. He had his favorite toys, and whenever he wanted to play, he’d just sit in my room and stare at the shelf where I kept them until I noticed. He was so smart that he didn’t even need to meow, I always knew what he wanted.

One of my favorite memories is when I accidentally left the bathroom door open while I was on the toilet. He walked in, jumped onto my lap, curled up, and fell asleep. I remember thinking, “Well… I guess I live here now.” It still makes me laugh through the tears.

I’m in a long-distance relationship, so there were so many days when I felt lonely. Shadow made those days bearable. He gave me a reason to smile, even on the hardest days. He was there when I needed comfort, even if he didn’t know it.

Today, he was hit by a car.

I can’t stop replaying everything in my head. I keep expecting to see him waiting by his toys or surprise-attacking me from around the corner. I keep forgetting he’s gone until it hits me all over again.

It hurts so much because I know exactly what this kind of grief feels like, and I never wanted to go through it again. Yet somehow this hurts just as much.

I miss him so much already.

I hope he knew how deeply he was loved. I hope he knew that he made my life brighter just by being in it.

Goodbye, Shadow.

Thank you for every laugh, every cuddle, every playful bite, and every moment you gave me. A piece of my heart left with you today.

I don’t know how to make the house feel like home without you.

I’m on vacation with my boyfriend, and something happened tonight that left me feeling hurt.

He went to the gym around 6 PM and got back at 7 PM. While he was gone, I did my makeup, put on a nice dress, and wore jewelry because I assumed we’d be going out for dinner together.

After he showered, he sat on the couch scrolling on his phone. I sat beside him, thinking maybe he was just tired from the gym and needed to unwind. By 8:45 PM, he still hadn’t mentioned dinner, so I finally said, “Let’s go eat, I’m hungry.”

He looked confused and said, “Huh? It’s too late for food now. I thought you were full.” I told him, “Babe, Why would I put makeup on and dress up for nothing?” He said he thought I was just dressing up for fun or because I wanted to look nice.

A little later, he said he was ready for bed. I just said okay, washed my face, changed, and got into bed. Before we went to sleep, I told him that what hurt me wasn’t even missing dinner, it was that he assumed I wasn’t hungry without asking me. He apologized and said he felt guilty that I was going to bed hungry. I told him it was fine, but honestly I still felt hurt.

Am I too sensitive for feeling upset about this? I feel like all it would’ve taken was, “Are you hungry?” or “Do you want to go out for dinner?”
