Hola!

Los pongo en contexto, tengo casi 22 años y tengo un trabajo en blanco (obra social, aguinaldo, vacaciones de 21 días pagas, etc.) pero es part time, si bien me re sirve porque estudio, pero no quita el hecho que estoy ganando 460 dólares y no puedo proyectar tanto. Sin embargo, el trabajo es muy tranquilo y me permite ir de lleno con mis estudios.

Por otro lado me ofrecieron un trabajo con modalidad contractor, obviamente me debería pagar un monotributo y chau si me enfermo, me dan solo 10 días de vacaciones. Pero estaría ganando 1300 dólares, el horario es una cagada y no me permitiría estudiar como lo vengo haciendo, el horario es de 11:30 a 19:30 hs.

Lo único que me tira para atrás es la incertidumbre, no tengo leyes que me amparen entonces me pueden despedir cuando se les dé la gana. En mi trabajo actual también, obvio, pero por lo menos me tienen que indemnizar.

El trabajo actual es de asistente administrativa y el de contractor es en el área de operaciones.

Que harían ustedes?

A veces me encuentro con distintos posts que hablan de que estudiar cuando la meta es conseguir plata… pero, qué pasa cuando queres estudiar algo que sea la intersección entre tus gustos y llegar a fin de mes?

En mi caso, ya intenté varias veces estudiar algo con el billete en mente, pero no da frutos ni de lejos. Lo único que me gusta (de verdad) es la literatura clásica, aprender idiomas, escribir ensayos o poemas; entonces decidí anotarme al profesorado de inglés, tras tomarme un tiempo de analizar si no me convenía más hacer letras en la UBA.

El motivo por el cual me decanté por el profesorado de inglés es que a largo plazo (después de recibirme) puedo hacer un posgrado y enseñar literatura inglesa (donde? Vaya uno a saber), y sobre todo, lo vi más aplicable a conseguir un trabajo más tradicional como profe de inglés en el corto-mediano plazo.

Claramente no pasa por hacerme millonaria, estaría totalmente errada, pero quiero vivir una vida que pueda llamar propia y existir bajo mis propios términos. Ustedes tienen alguna historia similar? Alcanzaron la intersección?

Yo no entiendo… realmente pretenden que una persona con título universitario gane tan poco???? Que perversos

Buenas! Les vengo a contar mi experiencia yendo a rendir el examen de ingreso del lengüitas, ya que cuando yo busqué info de experiencias no encontré mucho.

Yo me preparé con un mes de anticipación de forma intermitente (no estudié todos los días) y llegué re bien.

El examen consta de una parte escrita y otra oral, para la oral te sacan en medio del examen escrito para que vayas a dar tu oral.

La parte escrita es amena, empieza con preguntas sobre un texto que tenes que leer, después corregir errores (parafraseando) sin cambiar demasiado las oraciones, también tenes que rellenar partes faltantes de un texto con distintas palabras que tenes (Use of English) para elegir, multiplechoice sería. Por último escribir un texto, imaginándote cómo seguiría la historia que leíste al principio.

Para el examen oral te hacen leer un artículo, contar de qué trata y después te van haciendo preguntas. A mí por ejemplo me preguntaron sobre mi experiencia sobre lo que trataba el artículo, en que apps apagaba las notificaciones y cuáles dejaba, por qué dejaba las notificaciones activas, etc.

Eso es todo, empieza a las 8:15 Hs y termina a las 10:30. Yo llegué tarde y aún así me sobraron 30’, así que el tiempo que te dan está re bien.

Para una persona que se preparó estudiando el idioma toda su vida, es re realizable.
