It's starting to feel ok...

I got accepted into IMU in Malaysia, I rushed through A levels and actually somehow managed to pass.Today,in the mirror, while brushing teeth, I saw myself and a shadow behind me as usual. It's a scary hallucination I sometimes get, but today I wanted to turn around, grab its hand and dance with it.

New beginnings await.I'm not yet totally ok.But it's starting to feel alright...

Maybe, maybe I could live and breathe and not want to get out of my skin.

I went out the other day with a sister, I wore an outfit I was always too scared to style.I put on the heel boots and it felt amazing, looking at myself, feeling like I belong in this flesh and life.

I'm incredibly priviledged and it's all part of what scares me all the more.I'm always short of what I can achieve.

But it's startin to feel ok,

even tho i've had to drag myself these couple of days thinking about the future and feeling quite low over it.I dread the future.I grew up thinking I'd die soon but I'm still alive.I've never tried doin something to myself, it has always remained an idea i can't shake off but never came to fruition.

That day in that outfit,i broke down, helpless to do anything not long after I felt amazing. But my sister arrived, and I had time to decompress before leaving. It's ups and lots of downs.

I just wanted to share the fact that it's looking not too bleak rn.It's a moment of peace and calm, not dreadful like usual and i wanted to share it with you.

I've never had the urge to dance with my shadows before,

i feel alive. Not normal but alive.

NOTES: P1,P2,P3,P4,S1,S2

Pure maths tho, there's only calculus and trigonometry for now.

First of all, I have done this and it isss possible.Though I only got B C D in Biology,Mathematics and Chemistry respectively.

That's why I said how to pass,not get A/A*.

(I started in July.I did 11 units in Oct/Nov session.I did the remaining 7 unints in January.Overall I had about 3/4 months for 11 units and 1/2 months for 7 units to prepare and study.)

1st step:Get the syllabus

The first step to nailing any exam is in the syllabus. You HAVE to know all the contents from the syllabus/specification. It is there for a reason. It's free and available for downloads on the internet.

Though the specifics will differ,

just search up something similar to the following:

(subject)(grade)(specification)

Example: Biology IAL Specification

Check and make sure it is the latest one out.Otherwise, you might not be learning enough or learning topics you don't need to learn.

2nd step: STUDY.

Ok,hear me out. There are multiples ways to study. There's studying about how to study even.Start there.Learn how you will need to study. It depends on the subject and the exam board.Best advice?Get a tutor or a teacher to guide you. They'll know more than you.Or IF you are confident you can do this all on your own, by all means try your very best.

Oh,and ask everyone you know to pray for you and wish you luck.

A levels in 5 months? You'll need loads of luck to even pass.

On your very own?You better bring your A game.

It's doable but you do need luck on your side.Trust me,I've been there and done all this to a T.

3rd step: DOUBT YOURSELF.

This is hypocritical but listen, EVERYONE will doubt you.You might as well do it yourself first.See how it feels.Feel it out. Will you disappoint yourself if you fail?Or will you be ok by the end of this trying your very best and failing anyways?

THEN, you can believe in yourself.Support and motivation will be holding you up while the rest is up to fate but the work? You gotta put in the work too.

4th step: LEARN.

Be hungry for the topics.Grasp the topics, do past papers, do topical questions, take notes, revise your notes, do whatever will let you learn the best.

You don't have to lock yourself in a room, study day and night. You do have to lock in whenever you study.Still go out every once in a while.Still have a life.

It's important for this plan to work, trust me.

5th step: GO PASS A LEVELS.

You'll sit in that exam room, get those exam papers, answer your very best and then pass or fail.

Best part about IAL ? It's modular, and you can resit.

If things didn't work out in the first 5 months of self study, you can go the traditional route.

Or if you are sane and have time, just do A levels in 18 months. But promise me this, you better get the best possible grade if you are taking 18 whole months.

GOODLUCK!

If I can make this happen, so can you!
