Optic black but … rims

Why are the rims not totally black on the optic black package? Anyone changed them out for black rims - what shape and satin or gloss?
Thank you!

Minor separated 6 rows back after seats together confirmed

This is the second time in a month I’ve woken up morning of a flight to see my confirmed seat has been changed to a random middle seat.
I’m Platinum Pro, very loyal to AA. So is my husband.
My husband and small child were on one reservation (miles, paid 120k to fly RT from ORD to LAX) and I purchased a main cabin fare.
Upon waking, I got upgraded to first, my husband stayed in row 8 (main cabin extra), and my 8 year old son got switched to row 14, but both also got reassigned to middle seats.
On what planet is it okay to just separate a family with a minor child? My son was so upset and we were all so stressed.
Customer service was no help as the flight was full.
Gate staff was also no help as when I inquired if we could have our original seats back, they said “a family of 5 is already booked in that row. That family of 5 were all over 18 (couple with three college aged kids). Gate staff kept saying that “someone most likely purchased your seats. ” But if you selected and confirmed a seat, why would that seat be available for anyone else to purchase?
American has offered me 5k miles in my account for the inconvenience. I am livid still that this happened twice in one month and they were so dismissive about separating us into random rows.
In the end we had to endure the stress of getting on the plane and bargaining with other people so we could sit together. I was lucky I had my first class seat to bargain with.
Has anything like this happened to anyone else?
What would you ask for if you were me?
ETA the flight attendant was mortified and said she was also going to file a complaint on my behalf.

BSH cuteness

I’ve had cats my entire life, but BSHs are on a different level.

How is it that they are the cutest kittens ever, and then they just continue to get cuter (fluffier, stockier, ears set in, more teddy bear like) as they get older?
It’s the best breed!!
Our baby is 9 months old, and he gets fluffier and cuter every day.

Phishing attempt from a known contact?

I have a friend who I haven’t spoken with since 2022. She randomly texted me today with a recording (m4a file with my name “Hey Lauren 🤍.”
I checked with her and she did confirm her name (which is very unique). Could this be a sophisticated phishing scam?
I have an iPhone.

Bushy tails

Our baby has a very substantial bushy tail at 9 months old! Is this a kitten thing or will he keep this majestic fluff as he puffs out? Also, I love that his favorite spot is right next to the pillow with his twin!

Hunting & eating flies!

This is entirely a new level of spoiling my kitten: making sure he gets his sky raisin at 10:30pm. It was a true family affair!

Anyone else’s cat have ears that move like this? I’ve been a cat owner all my life but never noticed this much movement! I know he’s outside listening to the birdies but he does this all the time.
