For years, my (ex) mother-in-law has relentlessly badmouthed my brother-in-law, his wife, and their family. It used to be typical toxic gossip—calling his wife fat, ugly, and lazy, or spreading rumors about their finances and marriage.

Recently, however, her behavior has become dangerous and completely out of hand. She has started attacking the children, calling her step-grandchildren "stupid" (one of whom is autistic) while praising her biological grandchildren as "gifted." Furthermore, she is maliciously defaming her own son, telling the family he stole from a dying relative. She has a history of implying people have committed awful acts (like domestic abuse), but when pressed for facts, it's always smoke with no fire.

I feel like her behavior is getting dangerous. Do I tell my BIL and SIL what she is saying?

She has a bad word to say about everyone.
