things i think we should get in the hardcore rework update
yeah. (YAP ALERT), ill try to give arguments to these suggestions.
everything here is MY OPINION. you can have yours too, im not going to deny it, realistically people are gonna have different takes about this
suggestions:
- a new map for hardcore. remember voidlands and unknown garden? something like that: why? well hardcore beta and current hardcore have their own maps so why not give hardcore rework its own map too
- keep all the bosses from the normal gamemodes in hardcore (eg. wave 47 spawns fallen king, wave 30 spawns grave digger, etc.). i understand if it seems too out of place so maybe make them corrupted versions, like swordmaster and fallen swordmaster (also keep him in too plz): why? i dont really have a reason, it would be cool though
- keep the original hardcore in sandbox mode: why? honestly idk
- give us mecha base: why? because we have been waiting for 6 years
- make it harder: why? hardcore is supposed to be the hardest mode
- bring back void caster: why? she was cool and we need a narrator for hardcore
- make a hardcore lobby (kinda like a rework of the old hardcore lobby from 2020), bring back the old hardcore lobby theme: why? its a objectively good song
- keep the debuffs (eg. 3 max players, 50% cost increase to upgrades and towers, etc.): why? so its not easier
- not really a suggestion, just feedback. so i saw some of the animations for the new void reaver in the discord teasers. why tf are the animations so fast, isnt he supposed to be a slow tanky boss. make him feel like that
- increase void reavers hp: why? honestly idk
- make it longer, 40-50 minutes: why? honestly idk. this is a pretty warm take, i understand if some people wouldnt want it but imo it would be cool. reasonable though, 50 mins is pretty long
- i have 2 choices to suggest and they are mutually exclusive, both are about maps: 1. keep hardcore able to be played on multiple maps, like the list of maps we have for normal hardcore. 2. make hardcore be playable on its own map (the map i suggested in suggestion 1.) and maybe make it change, kinda like lunar overture or krampus revenge. otherwise it would be pretty boring playing on the same map without any cool gimmick, though i know that the map switching feature was abandoned for a reason so i understand if it wouldnt be added. still pretty cool but it might be just me going too far
- tds devs dont have to make a new song for each lobby and season (winter, summer, spring, autumn). PLEASE just reuse the 2020 summer theme.. it was so good
bonus: i was about to say something about lord exo, but idk if it would make sense since its not an event
no brainers:
- keep hardcore void/fallen themed
- give hardcore proper ost for every wave
- increase the amount of gems you get when winning, since im guessing even if none of my suggestions get implemented, its still gonna be harder than the current hardcore
- keep fallen swordmaster
- remove the 3 shadow bosses on that one wave
hot takes/far fetched:
- something about void miner if yall remember it
- one or 2 new hardcore towers
- a hidden wave for hardcore. (even though this is in the hot takes/far fetched category, this is so niche that it would be better to be put in its own category, but at that point there would be too many categories so i put it in here). a big problem with this is that if the mode will be long, this will make it even longer thus making it less enjoyable
- add evolved towers/juggernaut (might be in the trello for another update, didnt check)
- increase the amount of waves to 60 or even 68 (like pre-mega hard mode and insane mode)
suggestions = normal things i wish to see which i'd be pretty sad to not see implemented
no brainers = things that i consider shouldnt even be suggested. in short they NEED to be added
hot takes/far fetched = very niche or controversial things that i would love to be added but i wouldnt be sad if not added, because i understand that they are probably on the end of the list
