Color disappearing after a few weeks

Color disappearing after a few weeks

I absolutely love this line of lipsticks, but I have noticed (at my 4th shade currently) that soon after buying and very suddenly, almost overnight, it's like the pigment disappears and all is left is a glossy feeling with no color!

It has happened with each one of the four different ones I bought. I shake super well, the tube still feels full but no color 😭 I haven't had a tube that worked well for longer than a couple months, and I use them maybe 3-4x per week. Has this happened to anyone else?

Allies of skin invisible SPF gel

Is there a more affordable version of this? I love that it's invisible and it's great for under makeup but it's quite pricey!

O face lipstick (e.l.f)

Was looking for a lipstick that was reddish, terracotta but not as dark as the Brick from MAC (which I love but it seems too dark sometimes) and after a lot of searching I found this! Shade Standing Ovation. It's creamy-satiny so I am not very optimistic in terms of lasting abilities but I'll report back in the comments later on!

(I messed up the lining over the cupid's bow but we'll survive)

Before and after polynucleotides undereye (40F)

This is my before and after of polynucleotides in the under eye area!

Now, it's really hard to mimic the exact lighting but I do feel it's smoother and less sunken!

I included pics where there is both no makeup vs BB cream and concealer.

Was it worth it? Probably, yeah, but it was quite painful (and I have a super high pain threshold!) and each session (I did 3) cost 300 euros.

If anyone achieved similar or better results with another treatment, drop the recs! 👇

Please help me understand cause i cannot wrap my head around it

For context: I am probably older than all of you here, 39yo mom of two kids and due to the daughter's dance classes I discovered like last year Butter and Dynamite etc and I have been having fun with my little girl trying to learn the choreos. I did have a general awareness of the songs before, but it was more of the music playing in the supermarket and I have to just go with it nature.

So, daughter took over my algorithm and I was getting spammed by BTS content, which at the beginning was wholesome (funny and/or cute snippets from interviews) but it got weird quick, esp after the tour started. I had to purge it anew to get rid of all the creepy creepy stuff I was seeing:
Reels gushing about how the lil guy with the straw extensions hip thrusted during a song? GASP! V winking seductively at the camera (tbh this is how my 4yo looks when he farts) ? STANDING OVULATION! "You can't spell ARMS without RM?" Well, same goes for harmful but I digress.

So then i discovered this little bubble here and I am (in equal parts) delighted by all the snark and HORRIFIED by the fact people like the (non normal) Army exist. What do you mean, there are full grown women (I will assume most are women, alas) who'd get a fit if an equally grown adult man got a girlfriend?! Am I completely naive?! Why do these fans think that their faves would give a flying fuck about them? What will they do with their lives if they get wives and kids one day?

I am Greek, and i remember one Greek singer I loved when i was around 13, had said in an interview once, when asked, that for him the ideal "listener" (so we can extrapolate that to "fan") is the one that can fully abandon an artist cause they don't agree anymore with the art or the artist themselves, the one that questions the art and doesn't just accept it. And I was 13 and I was like "woah that makes sense". I wouldn't even keep a close friend in my life if they behaved in a way that went against my morals, let alone a literal stranger being racist or colorist or someone tolerating their supporters being misogynistic. (I thought internalized misogyny was bad enough and then I discovered this sub and I got the deluxe edition: kpop fans internalized misogyny)
So, I don't even know what my question is lol.

Is this like...a normal thing in general? Are all fandoms like this? Are people..okay? Am I that old that I just don't get it? Are these people without jobs or families or friends? Is this a first world problem?

Should I cut my hair again?

I love the convenience of being able to throw my hair into a bun or ponytail but I feel like short hair (higher maintenance for sure) suits me best..? Thoughts?

A late (makeup) bloomer needs help

Hey there! Sooo I'm rather new at the whole makeup thing, I was always a mascara and the occasional lipstick girlie but l just turned 40 so I think I need some more ... scaffolding lol.

Problem is, I still suck at it and I don't know what to prioritize learning. Winged eyeliners and the likes (even eyeshadow that doesn't come in a pencil form) are out of the question, I have zero skills, sadly, unless the goal is to look like a disoriented panda, in which case I excel!

I keep watching all these insta reels about where to place bronzer (do I need it???) or contour (likewise?) or blush to lift and shape and apparently add or remove 5kgs depending on where you place it 😭

Can someone tell me a few easy ways to up my game?

In these pics I have mascara, BB cream or tinted sunscreen on plus some blush and lip products!

Any suggestions welcome! I'd love to stop buying products because a pro MUA online said so, only to realize I can't even tell when to use a sponge vs a brush 🫠🫠
