Thinking bout switchin
My dad got me an old thinkcentre m53 and gave me his old monitor for my school work.
The problem is it runs old windows 10 and it is a bit slow even when connected to ethernet.
So I'm thinking of switching to pop os soon . Is it a good decision? Do I really need it at this point in time?
I'll mainly be using it for:
Watching lectures
C++ stuff
Python stuff
Some machine learning perhaps
Maybe some mathematical programms in python like matplotlib
That's about it. nothing too serious just heard that linux runs good on small hardware like this
I don't really have any problem rn with windows but was hoping the community could help me.
Also if I should use pop os what version should I use and is there a good tutoriel for it. If there is i sincerely request you to please drop it here
Idgaf about looks just it should have dark mode support all my software i already use.
And not crash.
8gb DDR3 ram
256 gb HDD storage
Pentium J2900 (quad core)
Also should I do a dual boot with windows first or just commit to it or maybe a different distro is more suited
