Thinking bout switchin

My dad got me an old thinkcentre m53 and gave me his old monitor for my school work.

The problem is it runs old windows 10 and it is a bit slow even when connected to ethernet.

So I'm thinking of switching to pop os soon . Is it a good decision? Do I really need it at this point in time?

I'll mainly be using it for:

  1. Watching lectures

  2. C++ stuff

  3. Python stuff

  4. Some machine learning perhaps

  5. Maybe some mathematical programms in python like matplotlib

That's about it. nothing too serious just heard that linux runs good on small hardware like this

I don't really have any problem rn with windows but was hoping the community could help me.

Also if I should use pop os what version should I use and is there a good tutoriel for it. If there is i sincerely request you to please drop it here

Idgaf about looks just it should have dark mode support all my software i already use.

And not crash.

8gb DDR3 ram

256 gb HDD storage

Pentium J2900 (quad core)

Also should I do a dual boot with windows first or just commit to it or maybe a different distro is more suited

[TOMT] A celebrity lion who runs away to rural life

I distinctly remember watching this cartoon with my little brother in the early 2010s

•it was an anthromorphic animals cartoon so it was animals heads but like almost human bodies

• the main character was a lion kid who was very famous i don't remember why but there were paparazzi

• he was sick of this life so he went and started living with his grandmother and enrolled in school there

I don't really recall the plot and I'm sorry if this is not vague to narrow it down

EDIT : Just remembered it was a 3d cartoon and also the animals were living like humans so like having a car living in a house etc sorta like bluey

Guys is it really that bad?

So context I'm in middle school bouta start high school soon and my teachers keep saying my handwriting is terrible is it really? If so please please provide how I can improve (p.s.I wanna stick to cursive bcz print is just way too slow). I've attached a few samples of my writings

EDIT: My more main goal is for others to be able to understand my handwriting as well because I also have to write my standardized grade 10 and 12 papers which means the exam checker must be able to understand what I have wrote
