Heyy!! I have a 9 week old kitten/2 months old, and he is doing awesomee! He is really cuddly and playful. I have him in my room for now because we have a dog and he is still getting checkups. Ive done all my research and homework on everything i need and ive been researching since the beginning of 2025..😬

The one thing I am having SUCH a hard time finding is the litter. I cant seem to find the right one for me and him. I am soo against clay because the dust and how many cons it has, also the horrible tracking. I want to change his litter sooo bad.

He had a sifting box with pine pellets but the smell was diabolical- and he didnt cover the poop, and cleaning it was so time consuming. Im going to buy a stainless steel without the sifter because i prefer it for cleaning, but any fine litter he seems to play in it. He genuinely jumps around and pounces, but im guessing with a deeper one he wouldn’t. Rn I have a shallow one as I order the non sifting.

Here’s the thing about the litters and why I have problems, I am heavily allergic to the dust because I have asthma, I am worried about corn litter molding since he is in my room for the moment while he adjusts, anddd I don’t mind the tracking as much but when he’s older and all up around my bed and house, it might be a problem. He never eats the litter either so thats good. Also, since he loves to dig a LOT before he does his thing, i have to use quite a lot of litter.. and most good ones are reallyyy expensive and not worth it in the end.

I really prefer clumping aswelll and obviously no scented stuff. Just worried about the dust, mold, and clumping. I clean his box every single day 2x a day. Pleaseeee give your best opinions and thoughts on certain litters I should get because im getting discouraged 😔
