This site is a scam. Do not give them your money.

When I first joined POF in 2010, it was a fairly decent site where women usually always replied to your messaages, even if it was a 'No thanks, but you are not what I'm looking for' type of reply and I had quite a few dates on there as well as the site having a generally positive vibe.

The site seemed to go downhill after around 2015 and now in 2026, the place is an absolute haven of dystopia with women who are skanks and also a lot of fake profiles.

Reading many of the profiles, the women have an extremely deluded ideology, as well as demanding and self-entitled and only want a bloke who is extremely attractive, must be at least 6ft 2 ins tall, muscular, be extremely confident with zero emotional flaws and must have a decent job, own house and car - All of that yet most of these women are far from attractive (especially in their personality/attitude) are rude, arrogant and have a list of issues a mile long.

None of the women ever reply to your messages now and don't even look at your profile despite many claiming to 'like you'.

The site now only allows you to send just one message every 24 hrs - unless you subscribe of course (£££)

Even if you subscribe, you are greeted with exactly the same results as if you was a non-paying member - Absolute Jack Zero.

A truly horrible place now which is just about making money and messing with your emotions and mental health and I advise any decent, single guys to avoid it and stick to the pub, supermarket or library instead as this site is now run by money-grabbing men-haters !

Every single woman wants Prince Charming, the man of her dreams, and won't settle for anything less than someone very hot, very funny who is over 6 feet tall.

When you look at the standard of women who are demanding such things that isn't going to happen

They refuse to compromise, and rather than being happy and giving out good vibes on the site, they spend their whole time acting unfriendly, rude and telling you they can't see likes.

Hardly the best way to attract someone is it?

If they're that bad now imagine what they'd be like if you met them?

The Truth About Tinder in 2026: What They Don't Want You to Know Before You Pay

⚠️ Search about Tinder on the Internet before you spend a single penny!
Tinder was once genuinely good. I used it for years. But what it has become is something else entirely, a sophisticated money extraction machine dressed up as a dating app, and the evidence is overwhelming.
The pricing is predatory. £23.99 per week. Per week. That is over £1,200 a year for an app that, according to an independent analysis of over 1,000 App Store reviews, has received 1 or 2 star ratings from 83.2% of its users since mid-2025, with aggressive and deceptive monetisation ranked as the single most common complaint. Tenscope
The profiles are a graveyard. Thousands of abandoned accounts remain active on the platform indefinitely. You will match with people who haven't opened the app in months, and you will never know, because Tinder deliberately hides last-seen timestamps. That is not an accident. Hiding that information keeps you swiping. Swiping keeps you hoping. Hoping keeps you paying.
The algorithm is designed against you. In a 2025 survey, 26% of users reported dropping to zero matches within a single week, not because they became less attractive, but because of something users call a "shadowban", a hidden algorithmic penalty that makes your profile virtually invisible to others while letting you carry on swiping normally, completely unaware. Tinder now assigns every user a Trust Score using AI, and once your score drops, your visibility collapses, with no notification and no clear path to appeal. The cruel irony is that the very behaviour the app provokes, obsessive swiping and mass right-swipes driven by desperation, is exactly what triggers the penalty. You lose either way. LuludateTinderprofile.ai
The bots and scammers are everywhere. Over 21% of recent reviews specifically cite fake profiles and fraudulent users as a core complaint, and Tinder's moderation is, in practice, non-existent. There are documented cases of sophisticated romance fraud facilitated through the platform, with Tinder's own safety features failing to prevent matches that violated users' explicitly set preferences, leading to devastating financial and personal losses. TenscopeTrustpilot
And if something goes wrong, you are on your own. Unexpected bans without explanation, broken appeals processes, and premium features that simply do not work after payment are among the most consistent complaints reported in 2026. Users report being charged for subscriptions after cancellation, having Gold memberships activated with no access to paid features, and accounts frozen entirely, unable to receive or send likes, with no support response. RoastŞikayetvar
They know. They just don't care. In March 2026, Tinder held its first ever product keynote, "Tinder Sparks 2026", announcing AI features, redesigned modes, and safety upgrades. It was a polished, well-produced event. The centrepiece was a new AI system called "Chemistry", promising more relevant matches by analysing behaviour and preferences, with the declared goal of reducing dating fatigue. They also announced expanded identity verification and systems to detect bots and scams. It all sounds promising, until you realise that not a single announcement addressed predatory pricing, abandoned profiles, or the shadowban system that quietly punishes paying users. This came shortly after the previous CEO was replaced and the company laid off 13% of its workforce to cut costs. They painted the facade while the structure collapses. Everythingexperiential + 2
The conclusion is unavoidable. Tinder is no longer a dating app. It is a platform that monetises loneliness, engineers frustration, and profits from the gap between what it promises and what it delivers. The matches that never reply, the profiles that never existed, the algorithm quietly working against you while you wonder what you are doing wrong, none of it is random. It is the product.
Do yourself a favour: search "Tinder reviews 2026" before you subscribe to anything. Then delete the app.
