AIにOSを作らせてみた

最近、AIにかなりの部分を任せて、LinuxベースのOSを作る実験をしています。

名前は 「RinOS(燐OS)」。

「AIにOS開発を任せたら、実際どこまで作れるんだろう?」というところから始めました。

現在は、

- 独自Waylandコンポジタ「Hata」

- 独自のデスクトップUI

- A/Bアップデート+自動ロールバック

- Recovery Mode / Safe Mode

Two Front Characters on the Same Team?

We ended up with two Front characters on the same team in a ranked battle. Is that supposed to be possible?

Thank you, Lightning

I was playing as SK and was about to use UR, so I moved toward the boss. However, I got defeated by an enemy because I made a mistake. Then the enemy Rinoa used Meteor, so I thought it was all over. But then Lightning used Break Burst, the boss dodged Rinoa’s attack, and Lightning’s attack won the battle. It was really fun!

What is a Master Level?

I saw the "Master Level" feature for the first time while browsing X. How do you reach this Master Level? Please answer.

The NP3a item is NOTHING in the NOTHING app.

As you can see, NOTHINGphone (3a) is missing. Is this a bug, is it simply not supported, or is it a developer error? If there's a solution, please let me know.

What is RP?

It says I achieved RP by getting presents and searching for companions with Celes, but I don't know what I was doing. Plus, I received so many presents, and I haven't posted anything on social media. Could someone please explain what RP means?

A conceptual framework: Are many reasoning errors caused by candidate retrieval failure rather than evaluation failure?

I've been thinking about a conceptual framework that may apply to both human cognition and large language models (LLMs). I'm curious whether similar ideas already exist in cognitive science or computational neuroscience.

The basic idea is that many reasoning errors may not primarily result from poor evaluation of available options, but from the failure to retrieve the correct option into the active search space before evaluation even begins.

I imagine the process as three functional layers:

Layer 1: Long-term representation

Humans: semantic and episodic memory

LLMs: distributed knowledge stored in model parameters

Layer 2: Candidate activation (retrieval / working memory)

Context activates only a limited subset of available representations.

Only these activated candidates become available for further reasoning.

Layer 3: Evaluation and selection

Humans: executive control, attention, affective state, time pressure.

LLMs: decoding strategy (temperature, top-k, top-p, etc.).

The key hypothesis is that there are two qualitatively different kinds of reasoning failures.

  1. Retrieval failure The correct representation exists in long-term memory (or model parameters), but it is never activated into the current candidate space.

  2. Evaluation failure The correct candidate is activated, but another candidate is assigned a higher value or probability.

Formally, if the correct solution D is not contained in the activated candidate set C,

[ D \notin C, ]

then no evaluation process can recover it; the system can only choose among the candidates that are actually available.

This perspective seems relevant to several existing areas of research:

Working memory and retrieval limitations in cognitive psychology

Availability-based retrieval and dual-process theories

Global Workspace Theory

ACT-R and other cognitive architectures separating retrieval from selection

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in LLMs

Research on hallucination in autoregressive language models

I'm not claiming this is a new cognitive theory, but rather wondering whether framing reasoning errors primarily as candidate activation failures versus evaluation failures could provide a useful way of connecting findings from cognitive science and AI.

Some questions I'd be interested in discussing:

Are there existing cognitive architectures that explicitly formalize this distinction?

Are there experimental paradigms that estimate the probability that the correct representation never enters working memory before a decision?

Does this distinction help explain why techniques such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation improve factual accuracy without changing model parameters?

Relevant references that motivated this idea include:

Ji et al. (2023), Survey of Hallucination in Natural Language Generation.

Kahneman (2011), Thinking, Fast and Slow.

Volz et al. (2006), Decision-making under uncertainty.

Bengio et al. (2015), Scheduled Sampling for Sequence Prediction with Recurrent Neural Networks.

I'd appreciate any feedback, related literature, or criticism from people working in cognitive science or computational modeling.

[Rock] Last Days by SK

My first song creation.

Made with Gemini.

A fast-paced rock track combining heavy guitars, powerful drums, and Jersey Club-inspired rhythms.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Last Days (English Version)

Intro

Last days...

Verse 1

Kicking through the fading lights

Running through the cold night air

Leaving all the shadows behind

I won't look back again

All those pointless words

All the futures they designed

I don't need them anymore

I'll choose my own way now

Pre-Chorus

I came this far

With scars on my skin

Every lost night

Made me stronger within

Who decided

Where my limits are?

This isn't the end yet

Call

Last Days?

Restart!

Last Days?

Restart!

Last Days?

Restart!

Last Days?

Restart!!

Chorus

Burn it up

Burn it up

Everything I have left

Shout it out

Shout it out

Until it reaches the sky

I will break through

Who I was yesterday

Kick away

Every limit in my way

Still

Still

I can't end here

Instrumental Chorus

(Instrumental)

Verse 2

The colder the eyes

The louder I become

Every wrong turn I took

Made me who I am

Don't count what I lost

Look at what remains

I'm still standing here

That's enough today

Pre-Chorus 2

Even with shaking hands

Hold on tight

Until the final second

Don't let go

This isn't over

This is where it starts

Right here, right now

Call

Last Days?

Restart!

Last Days?

Restart!

Last Days?

Restart!

Last Days?

Restart!!

Final Chorus

Burn it up

Burn it up

This moment is mine

Shout it out

Shout it out

With a voice that won't fade

Take all the pain

Take all the scars

Carry them forward

And break through the dark

Still

Still

I can't end here

Still

Still

I can't end here

Final Outro

Last Days?

Restart!

Last Days?

Restart!

Last Days?

Restart!

Last Days?

Restart!!

Essential Apps won't start.

I get an error when I try to launch an essential app. Does anyone know how to fix it? It's probably just that it's not compatible with my region (Japan). This is a NOTHING phone (3a). The OS is version 4.1.

Regarding overall combat power

Why are people in the same rank range so much stronger? How can I become stronger? By the way, my rank is Omega 5.(This is a translation)
