Return request for bose stereo with cd changer

I sold a bose wave radio with a cd changer recently and the buyer is claiming the CD changer makes a loud grinding noise and they want to return. I tested it before listing and everything worked fine. How would you handle this? My listings all say no returns, but I've only just started selling on ebay so I don't want to screw it up.

So far ebay buyers have been the most difficult to deal with of any platform I've sold on.. Mostly complaining about problems or damage to an item that I know for 100% fact were not there when I shipped the item. For example the clasp on a toy that suddenly won't stay closed, but I stored it in a large container with many other toys and it stayed securely closed with the pieces inside, even when I moved it around, for months.. It's been a huge headache so far

AITAH for trying to help my son and his friends communicate and resolve their conflict/deal with a difficult friend?

My son is in 6th grade this year and he's gone to the same school since 2nd grade. During that time, he's developed an awesome friend group of boys who are all in the gifted program at their school. All of the boys are super smart and super sensitive, and most of the boys are very kind and have been good friends to my son. In this post I will be talking about 2 of the boys in my son's friend group, and I'll call them M and G.

My son has consistently had issues with M, and to me it seems like he's mad all the time for no reason. Last year I had lunch with my son at school 1 day and M was upset with their other friend, G, and wouldn't tell him what he was upset about. The boys told me this happened almost every day, and anytime M was upset with someone he wouldn't speak to anyone else in the friend group and he stayed angry for several hours until he finally felt like talking. Since I was there, I talked to M and told him the other boys can't read his mind and they can't fix anything or apologize if he won't even talk to them and tell them why he's upset.

G was really upset that M was angry with him so he stayed with me and my son while the other kids went out to the playground, and we talked a bit more about healthy friendships and the way we should treat our friends. The boys told me M gets mad at 1 of them like this almost every day and they feel like they have to walk on eggshells around him. As soon as school got out that day, I got a text from M's mom asking me what happened at lunch. I told her it would be easier to explain over the phone and got on a phone call with her and M's dad and explained everything exactly as it happened. At the end of the phone call, she told me she would talk to M and asked me to let her know if there were any other issues, but she also made it clear that she was upset with ME for talking to her son when she wasn't there. I was kind of taken back by this, and I explained to her that I feel like it's our job as parents to help our children learn how to navigate friendships and how to be kind to each other. As the only adult there at the time, I felt like it was my responsibility to help them try to work through this difficult situation. M's dad told me that's just how their son is, and sometimes when he gets home from school, he'll be mad for hours and won't talk to his patents at all, and that's just something they have to deal with. Maybe I'm too harsh on my kids, but I would never allow that. It's OK to take time to yourself, or to be angry and need space, but it's not OK to be angry with someone and make them feel bad without ever telling them what they did to upset you. My kids and I talk through things like this, and I would never allow them to treat me or any of their friends that way.

After I got off the phone, I sent a text to G's mom letting her know what happened. I told her what I said to M and I told her about the conversation I had with M's parents. She thanked me for being there for her son and said he told her he felt a lot better about the situation after talking to me. She told me she had been dealing with this kind of behavior from M the entire time her son had been friends with him, and she felt like it was extremely manipulative and she wasn't OK with it. She said there had been several occasions where M's mom contacted her to tell her about something M was upset about that G had supposedly done. She took it very seriously and would contact the teacher only to find out that M was the aggressor and the one that was bullying, not G. She told me she takes everything M's mom says with a grain of salt now and just tries to coach G through the issues.

Also after the call, my son and a couple of his friends were playing Minecraft on the switch together and when M joined the chat he immediately unfriended my son and blocked him. I told his mom, because she asked me to contact her if we had any more issues, but she didn't respond. This happened again a couple days later and again I contacted her with no response.

Her son didn't come to school the next day and then they had a long weekend, so it had been about 5 days since my son had seen M when they went back to school the next week. When my son got home from school that day he said M told him he wasn't allowed to be friends with him anymore because of me talking to him at lunch the previous week. Again I text M's mom to ask her what was going on and she said that they asked M to stay away from my son because of "bullying and yelling" that made M uncomfortable, and also the incident with me at lunch made him uncomfortable. She also made a comment about physical aggression not being ok.

I had never heard of my son yelling, bullying, or being physically aggressive with anyone, but I didn't want to assume anything, so I asked his other friends if they had ever seen him bully M or be physically aggressive with M and they said no. I told M's mom this and I told her I felt like it was pretty mean of her to tell M to stay away from my son when they attend the same very small school and are in the same small friend group. I also told her I felt like it was really unfair of her to be upset with me and my son because I was trying to help our kids navigate their conflicts in a more healthy way, and if she was OK with M hurting G's feelings by being mad and not telling him what he had done, and hurt my sons feelings by trying to exclude him and make him feel like an outcast, maybe our kids should stay away from each other, because she and I have very different views on what their friendships should look like.

I didn't hear from her again for a while until 1 day our kids were playing a video game together for a couple hours and she texted me that night asking if that was okay. I have no problem with her son as long as he's being nice, and I don't tell my son who he can and can't be friends with, so of course it was OK with me.. but I forgot to respond to the message because it came through late at night.

We went to my son's Meet the Teacher event at school last week and M and his mom happened to be there at the same time as us. We were all very friendly and kind to each other and on the car ride home my son told me he was excited to have a fresh start with his friend this year and he was glad we all got along when we saw each other. I'm not the type of person who holds grudges and I don't want my son to be either, so I was really proud of him for the way he handled the situation and his positive outlook on everything.

Fast forward 2 days later and my son is playing a game on the switch with G and M starts spamming the chat telling my son to leave and that he's not comfortable and wouldn't tell him what he had done. Eventually M ended up leaving and my son played with G for a while. I took a pic of the messages and sent them to his mom and asked her what was going on.

She responded to me and told me M just needed space and if my son could please just give him a little that would be good. Then she said M had a very simulating day and was in regulating mode. She said he's on the spectrum (which I have known for a long time), so sometimes it just won't make sense to the outside world, and she was still learning to understand his needs as well.

I completely understand the delicate needs of a child with autism because my other son has autism, and he's much lower functioning than M. I do not accept autism as an excuse for my son to treat people poorly though. I know he struggles more with social skills than the average child, so I work hard to help him develop a better understanding of appropriate social skills, and learn what kind of behavior is acceptable when interacting with peers, strangers, family members, etc. If I accepted everything my son did as "just autism" and never tried to help him develop his social skills or correct his behavior, he would still try to kiss every stranger he meets, so I know how important it is to help autistic kiddos with this kind of stuff.

So my question is, was I the asshole for trying to help these kids navigate their friendship in a more healthy way? Am I the asshole because I don't feel like autism is an acceptable excuse for letting M bully and manipulate his friends and treat them poorly? I don't even know how to respond to his mom at this point, because she seems to think no one else's feelings matter and she doesn't seem to think it's her job as his parent to help him learn how to communicate with his friends and not treat them like this shit. As far as I can tell, he seems to be running the show over there!

This is my son's last year of elementary school, and I feel like this is too much drama and bullshit for a group of 11/12 year old boys. No one else in their friend group acts this way or gets upset all the time, and it's draining having to listen to my son tell me about M constantly being upset with someone. I've explained to him that friends shouldn't treat each other this way, and he doesn't have to be friends with anyone who's mean to him.. But I know he wants to be friends with M. He loves his friend group and they're all really close.. But he feels like he's being treated unfairly and is tired of his feelings being hurt all the time and not knowing what he did.. 😢 As an adult, I would NEVER tolerate this kind of behavior from a "friend".. And I don't want him to think it's normal or OK either.

Oh, and let me tell you what M was mad about in the first place. He was mad at lunch because G told him their band auction was really stressful for him because he was trying to win a prize and didn't think he was going to get it. That made M mad because M felt like the test they had just taken in class was more difficult. I'M NOT EVEN KIDDING. When he didn't want my son playing video games with hi yesterday, he text him this morning and said he thought my son was going to destroy his base on Minecraft... My son told him he can't read his mind and all he had to do was talk to him and tell him that.... His friends responded and told him they can't be friends for a "good solid month".

Where to sell vintage blow up dolls?

I ended up with a ton of vintage blow up dolls from a storage locker, and I don't know where I can sell them. I mainly sell on mercari and poshmark, and I've just recently started selling on ebay. I'm not sure if any of those marketplaces allow stuff like that. Does anyone else know? If they don't allow it, does anyone know somewhere else I might be able to post them? I was thinking there might be a Facebook group, but I don't even know how to look something like that up. Any ideas?

Hello me find an AI video of moments in history if influencers had been around back then. Was posted here.

Probably a little over a year ago someone shared a hilarious video they had made with AI. The video was what it would have looked like if influencers were a thing throughout history. It showed the invention of the wheel, parting of the Red Sea, etc. And it was HILARIOUS. If anyone has it saved somewhere PLEASE share the link. I'm so bummed I didn't save it. My son and I were laughing so hard we cried.

Treasures Roxxi Eyeliner Variations

I recently sold a Treasures Roxxi full and the buyer is completely unhinged about her eyeliner being darker than other dolls he's found online. I looked it up and it appears to be a normal variation in the screening on this doll. Some have thinner eyeliner, some have thicker. I'm including some photos.. I would appreciate opinions about this from the experts 😊 The first photo is my Roxxi doll. The last photo is the one he keeps comparing it to. He claims there is marker or paint under her eye and there definitely is not.

Any recommendations for a different platform to manage listings/inventory other than vendoo?

I just to use List Perfectly, but a couple years ago I switched over to vindu and I've been using it ever since. I love the user interface and I find it very easy to use, but quiet a few months ago, the app stopped recognizing mercari sales. This has been a huge issue for me, especially as I just started listing on eBay for the first time and I've had multiple items that sold on macari and I didn't take them down fast enough and then they sold on Poshmark or ebay. I've contacted a customer support a couple times like this and they gave me one month for you other service. That's nice, but with the new rules on Poshmark I have to be very careful about my cancellation.. And since I'm brand new to ebay I really can't afford to cancel anything there either. The other day I listed something and it sold on all 3 platforms while I was sleeping. That was especially irritating because even if it didn't catch the sale on mercari, it should have caught it on poshmark or ebay!

I'm looking for recommendations for a different reselling platform if you know of any. I was not a fan of List Perfectly. It was not user friendly at all, it had a very dated look, and I constantly had issues with it.

BG Wealth Sharing

I consider myself a pretty intelligent person who doesn't usually fall for stupid scams.. My ex husband started telling me about an AI investing tool one of his Co-workers was using with great results that was about to file for its IPO. He told me his friend had made $8000 since November and was able to pull his initial investment out after about a month. I didn't really think much of it.. Just sent him the crypto and said let's go.

Within 30 seconds of downloading bonchat I was PISSED. Never in my mind did I ever think ANYONE would be dumb enough to fall for this kind of thing when it was so glaringly obvious to me it was a scam. All of the people commenting in bonchat are bots. Having to change the website you login to constantly? Massive red flag. The website constantly being flagged as a phishing attempt? Um.. Hello?! The fact that no one on bonchat can add anyone but Elena and Stephen as friends? Wtf?! It literally BLOWS MY MIND that ANYONE, let alone hundreds of thousands of people, fell for some shit like this. I've never seen a more obvious scam in my life..

The idiot that referred my ex husband was dumb enough to refer his own kids and all of his coworkers to this shit... And he still kept defending it and believing it was real after I gave him so much evidence proving it was fake... I think he's finally come to terms with the fact that he isn't going to be a millionaire anytime soon, but I'm so annoyed that he could be so careless and stupid with other people's money.

I know the fbi seized the website, but they should have issued some kind of announcement letting people know this is a scam, because I know there are people who still believed it was real and paid the tax..

I've learned a very expensive and valuable lesson.. And this will be the last time I underestimate the stupidity of others..
