For anyone in the Daytona Beach area who cares about protecting what remains of our natural lands from continued overdevelopment, please make time to vote today.

The three candidates I recommend supporting are:
Wendy Anderson — District 1
Bryon White — District 3
Mike Poniatowski — At-Large

We’ve already lost so much natural land in Volusia County to development, and the decisions being made at the county level have a very real impact on conservation, growth, water quality, wildlife habitat, and what this area is going to look like in the future.

Local elections don’t always get the attention that national elections do, but these are the people making decisions that directly affect the place we live.

If protecting what’s left of Volusia County’s natural lands matters to you, please get out and vote today.

The perpetual victimhood of willingly choosing to put yourself in a situation that sucks is sad. It’s a self-worth issue. It’s a lack of firm standards and boundaries. It is the biggest, glaring red flag that you are a pick-me.

Who does it affect the most? You?
Incorrect.

The statistics don’t lie, blended families have a 70% failure rate. Children in a blended family experience the highest amount of abuse than any other household.

Being jealous by a father and a daughter hugging and showing normal affection is weird. I’m glad my experience was short-lived (thank god my dad grew a spine), but it did have a lasting, negative impact that I am now unpacking in my late 30s.

So, when I read things from that other sub or see TikTok’s that pop up on my FYP with all the woe is me complaints, I just have to laugh. Being jealous of an ex-wife or a child at your big age is wild. You made the grown adult decision, you live with the consequences.

Is anyone having issues with HubSpot? I have cleared my cache/cookies and also used it in an incognito browser to no avail. The HubSpot support page is saying there are no issues currently, but Down Detector is reporting a few. Thanks!

My husband and I are coming down from Ormond Beach for 5 days in the Keys in mid-July and will be staying at Lime Tree Bay on Long Key.

We’ve both been to the Keys several times before, but it’s been a while. We already have lunch at Little Palm Island booked and are working on the rest of our itinerary.

Two things we’re specifically looking for recommendations on:

• Smaller snorkeling charters around Long Key, Marathon, or the Lower Keys. We’re hoping to find something a little more low-key and personal than the larger group excursions. Sombrero Reef is already on our radar, and we’d also be interested in trips that combine snorkeling with a sandbar stop.

• Antique stores, vintage shops, architectural salvage, or places to hunt for unique home décor and old Florida finds. We enjoy antiquing when we travel and would love to check out any spots that are worth a stop.

We love old Florida history and culture, and are always looking for places with character.
