Hi all, I have my first test this week.

If I pass, do they take a photo for my license at the centre? The reason I ask is my provisional license was renewed in 2024 and I like the photo - but I’ve recently developed alopecia and have just shaved my head, so I’m wondering if they’ll ask me to update it? I don’t really want to.

I’m aware this is a frivolous request, but I’m also heavily pregnant and relatively self conscious about my looks at the moment because of it, so I’ll at least put some makeup on if that’s the case 😅

Hi everyone, I’ve got a pretty bad case of alopecia areata. I’ve been seen by a GP and been referred to dermatology, but I’m also 30 weeks pregnant and wondered if anyone else has experience with this in this sub?
I’m already overwhelmed with the bodily changes so to have this happen too has been a big knock for my self confidence.

Currently covering it up with scarves but am interested in whether anyone has wig recommendations (I’m in the UK if that helps) or has gone for it and shaved their heads and has positive experiences to share!

…cause I’m up with our 3 year old, who’s is in the middle of a bout of rubbish sleep, due to nightmares and a persistent cough that keeps waking him up.

We’ve been taking turns to go in and sit with him till he falls back to sleep, on the condition that there’s no talking (unless he needs something, like water).
Just now, he sat up and said something to me, and I said “No, [name], it’s the middle of the night, no talking, back to sleep.”

He looked me dead in the eye and said “I just saying I love you, mummy.” Then lies down and starts snoring.

Now I’m sat on a chair in his room silently bawling my eyes out. Doesn’t help I’m also 30 weeks pregnant, but still. I’ll tell him I love him too a million times in the morning.
Gosh, lovely aren’t they.

I’m 18 weeks, but it’s baby no.2 and I’ve expanded much quicker, so I’m roughly the same size I was at 22/23 weeks the first time round.

I bought a pack of full briefs in the size up from M&S, just put a pair on and can’t believe I was living in so much discomfort till now.

Please, do yourself a favour and get some big pants if you haven’t already.
