novant health

apparently novant is having a hiring event coming up. i’m trying to decide between some of the positions they have listed, which are: pharmacy technician, food services, support associate, patient access and administrative support.

i’ve already applied for a guest representative position but apparently it’s listed as “PRN” and i’m still not sure what that means.. i’m supposed to have a zoom meeting with the manager.

i’ve never worked in a hospital setting, i only have customer service experience in retail. but, if given the chance, i would like to try the hospital and build within there.

it’s my first time applying there & im not sure where to start..
has anyone else applied for these positions before or know anyone that has?

which position would you choose?

for years, i’ve always thought of possibly working at the hospital. not only is the pay pretty good but i’ve heard that you can also receive good benefits from there as well.

i’ve been in retail all my life & sort of wanted to try something different.. i fear retail has sorta altered my brain a little, especially when interacting with customer and others. and i want to improve on it. with the hospital, i wanna start somewhere that’s not necessarily “easier” but that’s sort of straight to the point. (pretty much interacting but not as heavily.. but then again it’s a hospital lol) idk if that makes sense.

if you had the choice.. would one would you apply for??

girls.. pls help :(

⚠️PSA: i know it looks horrible 😭😭

hi all, i’m new here!
im not sure what happened but i guess i could explain?? long story short, i noticed in high school that i started growing hair under my chin (after having a friend point it out). every since then, it’s started to grow & grow.. i’ve always been embarrassed about it. yrs ago, i heard about “shaving your face” with a eyebrow pencil and sadly…… this is where i am now😭

at first.. it wasn’t as bad. but now i fear it’s worse. to the point where it has moved up & now you can see it just from looking at my face as a whole. like it basically sits on the side of my face. like.. it’s so noticeable that i even had a customer call it out to me. it honestly makes me feel weird and overall has ruined my face. ive tried to look up different things, remedies, possibly even try to see someone about it but don’t know where to go or what to do.

even taking photos sometimes makes me wanna cry because it makes me feel ugly. ive been so embarrassed about it it makes me wanna cry. i feel so disgusting, so ugly. 😭

i don’t know if anyone else has dealt with this.. or is dealing with it?? i’m not even sure if i’m posting in the right group. but if there’s anyway, could someone pls help 😭

hobby lobby work experience?

hi, i happened to step inside & see that they were hiring. i wasn’t going to go for it but.. i went in about a week later & saw they still had the signs up & plus, im currently unemployed right now 😭

it stated that part time starts at $15.75 & full time starts at $20.

i’m just wondering..
is the environment okay?
are there any other positions other than working the register?
do you have to be a manager in order to be full time?
(i tried to look this up & couldn’t find much 😭)

i would prefer working from home but i also have a lot of experience in retail (6+ years)..

i’ve never worked here before but i think im interested in maybe applying. who knows, they probably won’t even get back to me but i guess it’s worth giving it a shot 😕

i got selected somehow to further move on to the next steps after filling out my application! idk how but somehow i did. i wanted to really try to become an online shopper but, when i looked at the email, the position was: front of attendant, general merchandise, food and beverage, fulfillment, etc.

i come from walmart, and im just wondering.. how has the work environment been?? are hours guaranteed? also because for the role i got selected for… would i have to be trained in all those areas basically??

help pls :(
