Dearly Beloved 💜💜💜

My friends and I happened upon the official Prince merch store in the Minneapolis airport and lost our minds, pretty much. lol It’s beautiful and makes you immediately feel melancholy, while you’re there. They even have a nice chair for you to sit in if you need to gather yourself or take a pic. We used it for both.

Here are a couple of items I picked up. I’m going to wear this hoodie out. The bottle, although made of a sturdy tempered glass, when I took it outside, my nerves were bad, didn’t want to drop or break it so, on a shelf it goes for the joy of admiring eyes :)

The 💜 store is located in Terminal 1 by their little food court area.

The Best of The Spinners - beautiful sky blue vinyl 🩵

Besides, Tavares, The Miracles, The Four Tops and The Temptations, my dad also loved The Spinners and so do I. He set me up lovely. Smooth as can be, sounding so good and bringing back such warm family memories. RIP Daddy 🫂👂🏾💕👂🏾💕

*By the way, I am Fine_Grape_8190. I’m in Jersey, born in Harlem, raised in The Bronx. When it comes to music, I’m full up to my eyelashes with love and appreciation for it, my heart beats music, I enjoy connecting with others who love it, I collect for the live of it and I listen to music every single day and grateful to be able to.
Peace and safety, to you all 🙌🏾💕✨

When I tell you, I love my cds💿❣️

Hi, everybody - love, peace and cds!

I’m not new here. Something weird happened and wiped out my other handle. Hopefully I’ll get that together but anyway, I’ve been loving this community and I absolutely love and treasure my cds.

About these pics…

I’ve been collecting since the mid 80s to the present. I have to Billy bookcases with frosted doors, double deep of cds and seven titled 12x12 filled cd books for travel. I play my cds mostly in my car because the sound - there’s nothing like it.

Most of these are R&B, Funk, Soul. Then there’s other genres I enjoy like ‘decades’ compilations, gospel, soundtracks, theme songs, (the coolest pop songs), yacht rock and hiphop/rap. I’m sure I have plenty OOP ones. I’ll find out as I’m starting to catalogue them all on Discogs.

Here’s a gander of the bookcases.

Kissed by the purple passions of these gems 💜💜 Thnx, Nyack, NY

I miss and appreciate Prince so much. It’s a shame he’s gone but finding gems like these feel like cheek kisses from the Purple One, himself. These are both 12”.
~Anotherholenyohead (Extended version) /Girls & Boys

~ I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man/Hot Thing (Edit/Extended Remix Dub). I can’t wait to hear them. I love all of these tunes. Come through, frisky Prince!

Angie Stone - ‘I Wish I Didn’t Miss You’ 2x12” (remixes)

Firstly; My apologies are extended to another OP; yesterday I posted this as a response to her Angie Stone post but wondered if it was proper etiquette and decided to take it down and repost on my own.

So… Angie Stone is such an incredible artist, that to have all of her music on vinyl and to be able to hear her voice on this media type is perfection. Sadly, I don’t have the vinyl but I have everything in cds, EXCEPT…

This beautiful pair of 12” that I do have of hers are stellar pressings of ‘I Wish I Didn’t Miss You’ Hex Hector/Mac Quayle mixes and dubs, which are pretty amazing. Deep, soulful remixes. There are so many and they all groove lovely. There are two records in the set. I don’t know if they come together or not but that’s how I found mine. Both were contained in a generic white cover.

For those who are fans of her work, these will definitelt round it all out your collection. If so, search them out on YT and give them a listen 👂🏾💕👂🏾💕:)

Thanks for these beauties, Asheville, NC!

I was in Asheville, NC long enough to pop over to two record stores located on the same street about a block away from each other. The second store (Voltage Records) yielded these beauties, in great condition. Two of my favorite soul groups; The Dynamic Superiors and the legendary Isley Brothers. Pretty stellar finds, indeed. These records sound so, so good, too.

By the way, this Dynamic Superiors record was produced by Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson✨

Thanks for the gems, Chicago!

I had about an hour and 1/2 before I had to leave for the airport.

I used 60 of those minutes to Uber over to Dusty Groove Records and left there elated, having found these (NM) gems in their New Arrivals section ‘and’ made it back, in time :)
