No need to pay silly reseller prices.

My local record store had this classic in earlier today. I had to cop it.

Delivered a day early!

This isn’t officially released until tomorrow, but it got delivered today! I thought it might show up next week some time. The sea blue vinyl is nice, like a translucent teal. I hope it sounds good - it’s released by Real Gone Music whose records tend to be well pressed.

NEO SOUL OG’s

These artists didn’t put out a lot of records on vinyl, but they definitely made bonafide classics. I see Res’ album is up for a repress. I get mixed feelings when I see the albums I took years hunting down get repressed, but ultimately I feel it’s great everyone gets to enjoy the incredible music.

Rick James - Come Get It! [1LP, Remaster, Blue Vinyl]

MOTOWN STORE EXCLUSIVE

Originally released in 1978 on Gordy Records, Rick James’ Come Get It! introduced one of funk and R&B’s most electrifying new voices. Backed by the Stone City Band, James arrived fully formed: singer, songwriter, producer, showman, and architect of a bold new sound that fused deep funk grooves, rock attitude, soul sensuality, and disco-era momentum.

Featuring the breakout hits “You and I” and “Mary Jane,” Come Get It! established the blueprint for Rick James’ singular style — streetwise, flamboyant, and irresistibly rhythmic — while setting the stage for the run of classics that would make him one of Motown’s defining late-’70s and early-’80s stars.

  • Mastered for vinyl by Levi Seitz at Black Belt Mastering

Side 1:

  1. Stone City Band, Hi!
  2. You And I
  3. Sexy Lady
  4. Dream Maker

Side 2:

  1. Be My Lady
  2. Mary Jane
  3. Hollywood
  4. Stone City Band, Bye!

Small haul...

Some new wax. Gonna take these for a spin while I do some afternoon reading. Had them play test the Isley's joint while I was in the shop. Sounds way too good to be a $5 record! Also looking forward to hearing this OG pressing of the Marvin classic.

[Wanted] Daley Days+Nights,Sir Heavy (Red) Jhene Aiko Souled Out (Blue)

Hi. I'm looking for these elusive vinyl. Of course you can find these on discogs, Ebay etc. (Except Daley) but the mark ups are crazy. If anyone has any of these that they are willing to let go of for a fair price for a collector please let know. Thanks 😊
