Does rehab exist? (England)

I was a functioning addict, and then I wasn't - and I've been out of work since 2020. I begged the system for rehab, even begged to be sectioned, but that sort of help isn't there. To me rehab should be like a prison, somebody volunteers themself in and you keep them locked up for X weeks and THEN they walk out to community support. I've sat in huggy group circles of people who frankly would spend the rest of the life soberly talking about their past self. I believe we need radical drug reform in the country, legalise Cannabis and completely fund a national rehab system for ALL drugs! But hey, maybe I'm mad.

Point being. I was offered a bed in a rehab facility BUT primarily there were no locked doors and secondly all money must be paid to them meaning they would receive over £1000 per month and I would lose the flat where I live with my cat as their minimum placement is 6 months.

I literally need locking in a cell for 2 weeks and I would walk out a new person. And I know this is the same for tens of thousands of people across England.

What rehab exists? Thank you for any answers.

I got pushed back into a store by security who put their hands in my pockets, I pushed them back - they accused me of shoplifting. I hadn't! I complained to their customer service and a subject access request was made for the CCTV. This was last month, they've replied and apologised for not actioning in time and said the CCTV was gone. Is this something I should challenge? I'm not barred from the store but haven't dared go back since.
