Ex friends are making fun of me and i can’t understand why. I don’t even know what to say, i feel excluded…

My bf (28M) suddenly bécame irrational and started to degrade me (28F). At first I thought it was due to job stress, but I noticed he literally started backing away from me. I am a vet student studying abroad, and he told me if I wanted to save the relationship, to either quit my studies or be more submissive. I cannot do that, so when I went to his work to talk to him, he threatened me by calling security and told me that if I wanted to talk to him, it would be either in my house or somewhere else. I know I shouldn’t be with someone like this, but I want to know why is he doing it. Does he have someone else I don’t know about? He also told me to not talk to any of his relatives. Appreciate the help.
