I think I need a sponsor.

I've been creating music since I was a child, and I have some really good songs I think would be popular. I just don't have the money and professional studio to record and sound design them. I need help.

So I was wondering is there a platform to find people who could collaborate with me in composing and producing music for a profit after production. I am willing to pay up to 80% of everything we earn, I just don't have the money now.

Maybe I'll find a person to collaborate with on this subreddit, or at least some suggestions where to find one.

I've been postponing this for years, there's no time to waste anymore. Please, help me. I think we're missing out on some great music here.

How bad is it?

I think it's too wide and too crooked. Profile view is hideous. So I don't have a single photo of that posted anywhere except here.

I've dreamed of a nose job since I was like 12. Dunno.

My Art teacher killed my creativity.

I was a very creative child. I loved art classes, and was so happy to craft things at school and in my free time. Modeling clay, origami, paper mats, leaf collages, art on old vinyl records, making little pencil people and designing paper clothes for them - that was my paradise. I was no genius, but I loved my results, and I was praised by my family for that (obviously). I was not good at Math, I didn't care about Physics or Chemistry, I loved only Music, Art, and languages.

When I changed schools, there was this old lady teaching Art class, and I tried my best, but she seemed to dislike everything I did.

This was the 6th grade, so we were 11-12 y.o. One time the assignment was to make a craft. Any craft. Materials weren't specified. Nothing was specified. Just "do something", and that's that. My classmate, who wasn't good at school at all, brought a clay figurine and a wood carving her older sister made several years ago, and she gave the figurine to another struggling student, who often did none of the homework, so he could pass the assignment. She offered that to me first, but I created a paper daisy, and was satisfied with what I was bringing to this class. It was simple, but quite beautiful, to me, at least. Every petal was carefully cut and glued together, with a cardboard stem and carved thin leaves.

So those two students were called to the teacher's desk, and they received excellent marks - 12 (we had the 1-12 system), and when she called me, I was excited to show her my cute flower. She looked at it and said "what the hell is that?" Everyone in class started laughing. I was stunned and felt the heat coming through my body, I was red as a fucking tomato, my head went numb, and all I could say was "a daisy". Quietly af. And the class laughed harder with each line of dialogue. "And what mark can I give you? 6, maximum". I stood there wanting to disappear. Class clowns made comments that made everyone laugh so hard, I didn't even pay attention to the words. I can't remember what happened next. I think I grabbed the fucking flower and returned to my seat and kept my head down.

Later, when I came home, I was so angry at myself, so disappointed. I tore my craft to shreds and got rid of the remains. Looking back, I know that was the moment I stopped doing anything with my hands. No more pencil people. No more fun going to Art class.

As time passed, I forgot about that horrible and embarrassing moment. I'm 28 now, and I don't give a fuck what others think about my art. I do it for me. And I so wish I could go back and tell her "what's wrong? You said to create something, this is something, next time you should stop being lazy and actually specify the assignment." She actually praised the fucking clay dog or whatever that thing was, and compared it to my poor shitty daisy. That's not how teachers should operate, I should know, I am one. And never in my experience have I belittled someone and created space for bullying.

Now I think that old hag was just sad and angry, and making fun of kids was her hobby. In 2026 teachers can be fired for that behavior. But kids are self-conscious and vulnerable, and they won't bring up the subject when they were bullied by teachers. It's simply too embarrassing.

Maybe I should put a little encouragement here: ask your kids about their relationship with each teacher, and even if they won't talk about it, just ask them to tell if any one of them made them feel insecure. Because it can be a traumatic experience, and not everyone can recover from that. Some teachers can nip abilities or talents in the bud, and that shouldn't happen to anyone.

AITAH for pointing out mistakes in the engraved text? Pictures and screenshots included.

Engraved text

Conversation [English]

Conversation [Screenshots]

So, I found texts from the day I lost a friend. Turns out he was more unstable than I remembered.

My former friend is (or was) a jeweler, and he sent me a picture of a pendant with engraved text, which was full of mistakes. I told him that the client fucked up with the phrasing. He thought I was criticising him, so he lashed out and went completely insane by the end of the conversation... He told me that he already discussed the issue with his boss, and apparently he wasn't allowed to correct the mistakes for whatever reason, but I got this information (and the fact about other people managing the final status of the text) AFTER he got mad at me for suggesting checking texts. And after I was called a bitch a bunch of times.

Was I really in the wrong about saying something? I genuinely wanted to help him to do a great job, and I certainly didn't expect that to turn into this giant fight.

And yes, we are not perfect in English, both of us, but our level is certainly higher than the client's. So I wasn't trying to belittle him by pointing out those mistakes. We had periods of time when we talked in English for practice, and he's pretty good. I just didn't know why those mistakes have become engraved. I thought his job was to mistake-proof those things.

I'm looking for a violinist who can record about 30 seconds of playing solo.

Basically I'm creating a new soundtrack, it's for my friend, he's a guitar player, and I already created his part. Everything else will be played by plugins in FL Studio, lol. But this piece is kinda polyphonic, and I want a real violin in the middle of it. I genuinely don't have plugins that can imitate solo violin, I use them more as pads (strings tutti, idk). So I'm looking for a person with good enough mic to record a short solo.

I will pay you, of course, just not much. I have 8 dollars on PayPal, they're all yours.🌚

The tempo is 110bpm, I will provide sheets, and the deadline is like a month. I just really want it to sound good, so can you help me, please? Thanks for reading!

Edit: please upvote this post if it's not much trouble, or send it to a violinist you know, again, if it's ok with you and doesn't take much time. I'm just really excited, and I want to dive into work with musicians already!

AITAH for pointing out mistakes in engraved text?

Yesterday I was going through my photos, and I saw screenshots of messages with my now former friend. This happened last summer, but I still felt a wave of rage when reading those.

He works as a jeweler, part of his job is to engrave things on rings, pendants, and other jewelry. Basically he gets the text from his customers, and needs to follow what was requested. He sent me a picture with the job done, and I can't really remember what exactly was written there, something like "Your my forever love", so I giggled to myself, and texted him "this grammar doesn't make sense, you should've checked it before engraving", then I corrected mistakes, and told him he could ask me to check future projects, I don't mind, I love English. And he got pissed instantly.

He texted again and again that he wasn't stupid, that those mistakes shouldn't concern me, and he did what he was told to do, so I am the asshole for even daring to point that out. I asked him to calm down, as I wasn't trying to make him feel bad, those mistakes weren't even his. I tried to shift the guilt to his customers, but he still was fixated on the thought I called him stupid. I didn't, by the way.

Long story short, we got into a fight, he told me to go fuck myself, called me names, I also wasn't polite at the end of our conversation.

Then, a few hours later, he told me that he also noticed those mistakes, but his boss apparently checked with the customers, told him to ignore it, and maintain the grammar as it was. Well, if the friend told me that, instead of lashing out, I would have dropped it instantly rather than suggesting help. But I got this information too late. After that he tried to guilt trip me because I made him feel bad. Again, it wasn't intentional, I viewed the whole situation like a mutual joke about the customer's weird grammar, that doesn't make sense even when put into a translator. He still thought I was trying to mock him, even though I apologized and tried to end this stupid argument.

For clarity, we're from Ukraine, not everyone here speaks English, and my English is faaar from perfect, but I certainly have more experience with it, and can create simple sentences without mistakes. And I honestly thought that helping a friend with engraved text would be nice — for me to practice, and for him to do a great job, as it's a permanent result, which could ruin the jewelry piece.

So am I the asshole for letting him know there were mistakes, and suggesting my help with it?

My bf stopped talking to me because I went out with a friend.

I just don't get it. He's at war right now, but we speak regularly via Telegram and calls, and two days ago I told him I'm gonna go to the beach with a friend. Yep, it's a male friend, so I would understand his jealous reaction, but the friend is gay, he knows him (we were once in a mutual friend group), and he didn't say he would get pissed at me if I went, we just talked about our plans and there's that.

Yesterday he told me he'll call to tell about his day, and when I mentioned I'm at the beach, he asked me "why". I replied "because the beach is cool" and sent him a video message with me and my friend in it. And he stopped replying. Never called me. And told me he's talking to HIS friend, so I need to fuck off.

I'm fucking stunned. What the hell is going on. We're not teenagers, I'm F28, he's M31, and he certainly knows that he can't dictate who I can hang out with.

What the hell was that? We're still not talking to each other, and I know he's okay, because he texted in our group chat, but totally ignored me the whole day. I think he maybe wants to break up, but also wants me to take the fault in that. Or maybe he's mad that I can go out freely, while he's serving, but that's hardly my fault.

Also that was the first time I went out with someone in half a year. I usually like my loneliness, but sometimes I just need to get out, talk to somebody, catch up, you know.

I just. I dunno. It sucks.

Sorry for rumbling, I'm just really upset and confused. Feels like a cheap manipulation at his end, and I can't believe I was taunted.

Upd: I can't believe this man. Today (third day of not exactly speaking) he asked me if I was alive (air raid this night), I said I was, silence for a couple of hours, and now he's texting me deferred messages as if I was his saved messages. With his fucking plans for today. Ask a guy about some fucking knife. Gather his fucking documents. It's not meant for me, I am 100% sure, it's his to-do list, and I will literally die from cringe if he'll say "sorry it was meant for my saved messages honest mistake", because you can't postpone two different messages ACCIDENTALLY FOR A WRONG RECIPIENT. Omg. He's honestly 10y.o. mentally.

How to unlock Cavity Cutter?

I presume all the essence just helps to improve the weapon, but I don't actually have it. How do I unlock it in the first place?

u/Firm-Acanthaceae9708 — 2 months ago

I need to use Latin or Cyrillic for Ukrainian/Russian, and each symbol should represent the letter in the alphabet. My boyfriend is coming home from warzone for the first time ans he just loves puzzles! So I waz thinking... Maybe you could help?

Symbols should be angular, strict, geometrical.

I really have no vision for this, but I want to surprise him so much...

So... Any ideas, guys?

Thank you!
