Would an upcoming international trip make a difference ?

Hey there - I applied for GE a week ago. And so far no response. Which is fine I guess. In a few days I’ll fly out internationally and was wondering if having an upcoming international trip would make a difference or would help with the application process?
Thanks

Should I/we apply?

Hey there - I am a Colombian national, I entered the country on a J1 visa then changed my status to F1, while I was on F1 status I worked unauthorized. I still maintained my status - I got married and was able to get a marriage green card, I disclosed all my information about past unauthorized work to USCIS. 5 months after my green card got approved me and my wife traveled overseas, no issues at all coming back, recently we went to Canada by car and again zero issues returning to the US. I would like to know if its a good idea to apply for GE or that would be a waste of money due my past unauthorized work history? me and my wife would love to apply together.
We applied for pre TSA check in April 2026 and got approved in May 2026 btw.

Hypochondria is on overdrive.

Long story: Back in October 2025 I started to feel some weird stomach symptoms- mostly bloating and weird looking stools. On and off, in December 2025 I went to se a GI, he performed blood work suck as CRP, Food allergy panel , celiac antibodies and thyroid function. All the blood work came back normal. He also asked to get a stool sample. Testing for H pylori, Pancreatic Elastase, Calprotenic, Parasites and pathogens and fat fecal test. H pylori POSITIVE, P. Elastase 23, Calprotenic 106 and Fat fecal test and parasites and pathogens NORMAL. Right away I started the QUAD THERAPY for 2 weeks. Waited 4 weeks and go tested again- H pylori NEGATIVE, Elastase 800, Fat fecal normal and Calprotenic now 408! This GI doctor told me theres nothing else to do but colonoscopy and endoscopy. I followed up with an in network GI and 2 weeks later he performed the colonoscopy and endoscopy. According to the doctor there were not concerning results ,the colonoscopy was performed wth zero issues, he was able to se everything the colon looked fine and biopsies came back normal, just no bleeding hemorrhoids which he said its normal just add fiber and some cream and bye. The endoscopy didnt show anything alarming besides INACTIVE INFLAMATION which he thinks was due H pylori. That was march 2026, he thinks that the quad therapy was harsh on my GI system and that can be the reason why the calpro was high, so he advised to ge re tested in 6 months, meaning in 3 weeks.

In the past 6 months I have been okay, no issues, stool look normal , no diarrhea, some hemorrhoid flare up here and there rarely but besides that everything seems okay.

But....I am scared and thinking about that freaking re testing.

anyone in a similar experience?

Done.

Well, all I can say is that I came to 2 and half men after watching TBBT. I can say for sure that I loved the show 100% and I will definitely watch it again.

I gotta say that I liked a lot the Walden seasons- yeah the show becomes something different but I really loved Walden as character and his relationship with Alan was kinda adorable.

The final season was a total disaster. Some touching moments with Louis/Walden and funny scenes especially from Lindsay, Alan, Berta and the social worker. The final 2 episodes were a bit interesting but not the finale I expected.

Definitely didn’t expect Jake coming back haha.

Despite all of that I would give this show a 10/10 and it’s definitely added to my list of favorite shows I ever watched.

Hey, I am just looking for reassurance.

I recently got a green card approved - and now I am applying for a job and this employer wants me to sign a W9, next to the signature it says Signature of U.S person. I read below and a green card holder ( which is my case) I am considered a U.S person for this W9 form. Is that correct? I just don't want to claim to be U.S citizen.

Thanks.

Approved after 55 days!

Me and my wife applied together back in April 19th. She got approved May 15th and I just got approved ( June 13th). I gotta say that when I needed to call TSA contact center they were able to help me and submit escalations and whatnot. So thumbs up to them. I do want to say that CLEAR is the absolutely opposite and very thumbs down for them. Messed up my application and never ready to help.

Re entering the US for the first time as a GC holder.

Hey- just wanted to share my experience in case someone needed to know about how are things going on entering the U.S. these days.

Me and my wife traveled to my home country Colombia for 8 days- I was very nervous because it was my first time leaving the U.S. and re entering after 7 years. ( entered on a J1 visa then F1 then Marriage - didn’t overstay) anyway, green card approved December 2025. Went to Colombia 8 days ago and today we returned. Me and my wife passed together CBP asked for my passport and green card first - asked for how long I was gone and if I had something to declare. ( 8 days and just 1 bottle of natural honey) took my picture then my wife’s , handed it to me and then he said “ Welcome back guys “.

Very easy very smooth! Nothing crazy. I was a little bit curious about the honey i thought I needed the declaration form or something- so on my way out after I got my luggage I politely explained to another CBP officer about my interaction with the previous officer about the honey- I asked if he needed to check my bag or the honey and he asked a few questions about the honey and then let me go.

Overall, all good!

Thanks!
