Which characters would you consider the "mainstays" and which characters would you say make up the main secondary cast?

Weird question, is there any Lakers player (all-time) you associate more with wearing purple as opposed to gold?

[Discussion] Which character did you think were a much bigger deal then they actually are in the comics?

[Art by: Ed Benes]

Among the DC media I consumed growing up, such as JLU, Brave and the Bold, Young Justice, and some of the animated movies, Red Tornado just always seemed to be there. So I grew up thinking he’s like one of the main Justice League heroes, but gonna be honest I barely see him show up anywhere.

[Discussion] Thoughts on Jonah Hex? Do you think he could work in a contemporary setting? Or does he fundamentally need to be set in the American Wild West?

[Art by: Moritat]

Asking this because I’m not too familiar with the character so forgive me if this is a stupid question, but In a world with aliens, noir detectives, sorcerers, & an entire city of telepathic gorillas, is a cowboy too much of a stretch? Or does Jonah Hex really only work as a character if he’s within a specific time period?

Weird jersey but still pretty great

"weird jersey" as in the player playing for a team most people don't really associate them with, not the jersey itself. (although that wizards jersey...)

Which "What if" player do you think could have had the highest ceiling in the NBA?

Doesn’t have to be of the ones pictured

[Discussion] Thoughts on Wonder Woman being an adventurer / explorer style hero?

[art by: Jenny Frison]

Personally this has always been my favorite interpration of Diana as a character

Aside from wanting to help Man's world, part of the reason Diana left Themyscira was the opportunity to explore the world after being isolated her whole life. I always loved the versions of Diana with a sense of adventure, So I really like the thought of her exploring various corners of the DC universe, fighting injustices and helping others along the way.

(also I absolutely adore the image of Diana on a pirate ship)

(posted this on r/WonderWoman a while ago, but wanted to see this sub's thoughts as well)

[Discussion] Do you think the Absolute Universe will become a staple of DC's multiverse stories in the future like Earths 2 & 3?

Art by: Alex Ross, Dan Mora & Ivan Reis

Sorry if the titles a bit confusing, what I mean is whenever a piece of DC media, comics, games, movies, etc. is exploring the concept of the multiverse, in addition to whatever random earth is relevant to the plot, earths 2 & 3 and their respective characters are pretty common staples of DC’s multiverse that show up every now and then, and I wonder, do you think the absolute universe will eventually enter that status?

Now of course what the current creative teams have in plan for these characters, further fleshing out the universe and their plans for eventually concluding their series, absolutely take priority, But with DC being the company that it is, do you think we’ll see the absolute characters pop up here and there in various media in say 20 years time?

[Discussion] Who are some of your favorite civilians in the DC universe?

Art by: Yasmine Putri, Jason Fabok, Alex Ross, & Amanda Conner

I’ve always loved the presence of civilian supporting cast in superhero media, especially if they also have memorable character designs that make them instantly recognizable without the need for a supersuit. These 4 are probably the 4 most iconic civilians in the DC universe, but what other characters do you like?

[Discussion] What are your DC unpopular opinions?

[Art by: Jim Lee]

For me:

I equally like Cyborg being a Teen Titan and JL Founder: I grew up with media that depicted Vic as both a Titan & Leaguer, And honestly I think he fits with both teams, I will say I think he only really works with the league if you don't take away his joyful personality, and If he were given the right push and great solo run, I really think Cyborg could have been a proper A-lister (before you say anything, I love J'onn as well, like why can't they both be founders? doesn't really have to be 7)

I think a Harley Quinn transition into a full on hero (not anti-hero) could really work well if handled properly: She could serve as a permanent example of Batman's (and other hero's) goal of rehabilitating their foes. Plus I think giving Gotham a more positive heroic clown character could be really fun. (ofcourse don’t have her like nuke a city or something right before)

DC's concept of Legacy can feel a bit much at times: of course legacy is baked into DC's DNA but why does every legacy team have to have the exact same archetypes of: Kryptonian, Bat, Amazon, Flash, Atlantean, Archer. Like why is almost every futuristic version of the league I see just a small variation to the regular line up? Don't get me wrong I love legacy characters, but I think they work best when you put them alongside new original characters, like in the New Teen Titans.
