Absolutely perfect day on the water, with steady winds 12-15kts and some great competition. Much appreciation to the Royal Canadian Yacht Club in Toronto for putting on a great event.
My family is starting to plan a trip to Greece in Sept 2027, and we are planning a charter for a week out of Lefkados. I’m starting to try to figure out some of the details (knowing flights change and all that), but I am hitting a wall with flights to/from Preveza Airport.
There don’t seem to be any flights to/from Athens out of here in mid-September. Is this typical?
The airport website is showing arrivals from a bunch of other European cities…do we need to fly Toronto-(London//Frankfurt/Vienna/etc)-Preveza instead?
Back at it for another season. Wind was non-existent heading to the committee boat, but picked up to a nice 10-12 kt just in time. Felt great to shake off the literal and figurative cobwebs!

A month or two ago, we had someone come onto our porch and try to open the front door door, toss a couple of boxes, and then leave. Neighbours also had doorbell cam footage of the guy, who was quite apparently strung out.
Well, no idea if it was the same guy, but we woke up this morning with our shed door open and gate wide open. Checking it out, my Cannondale mountain bike is gone. Funny, no tools, some new electronics, or anything else is missing, and they had to dig out my bike from behind my wife’s and a bunch of other lumber and stuff. But at least they left their grocery bag of other stuff they stole.
If anyone is missing a giant bag of Reece’s Pieces or a pair of RayBan Aviators, I’ve got them.
Edit2: a karaoke mic is also in the bag. If it was your kid’s, then I’m sorry or you’re welcome, in whichever proportion is appropriate.
Unfortunately, squirrels chewed through my back camera’s POE cable, so we’ve got nothing on camera.
