I went to another meeting with the local drawing group today. This time, we went to the bank of the Rhine. Technically, I've drawn in that church garden before, but back then I drew the view of the church✨
But today, I thought I'd make some funnier sketches instead. That's why I drew the thumb statue and a horse's butt XD
From this garden, you can get a really nice view of the back of the Emperor William Monument, and I thought that would be funny to draw. Also today, we were really lucky with the weather, which I was super happy about because it had been raining here for the last few days.
Today, I went drawing again with the local Urban Sketching group✨ I think without this opportunity, I would never have visited these very pretty yet remote corners of our cityXD Anyway, today we drew at the city beach and it was a lot of fun. A swan tried to attack me, it rained a lot, and I met up with a girl from TikTok who also lives and draws here. So overall, it was great fun and a awesome Sunday, even if the weather could have been better✨

About two weeks ago, I went on a short vacation to Spain, and we traveled to Barcelona and Valencia. I started urban sketching/travel sketching this year and had already sketched my trip to Prague once before, so I wanted to do something similar this time. Especially since Barcelona has so many pretty spots:) So I sketched the Gaudí Hotel, the Gaudí park, and of course the Sagrada Família. And as a little bonus, the day of arrivalXD
Unfortunately, our last day of vacation:( I finally managed to finish all the sketches, yay✨ I'm not sure yet if I want to draw the departure day too, because theoretically nothing happened besides the flight and I got sickXD Oh well, anyway, on this day we visited the local market, had some fruit and juice there, went for a walk in the old town, and then went swimming in the evening because of the intense heat:)

That's where I saw real belugas and big sharks for the first time, and they were super pretty. Other than that, we walked around outside the aquarium and checked out the City of Arts and Sciences, and the architecture there was super pretty✨

But then we had the silly idea of going without our phones, and since the bus didn't display the stops, we ended up getting lost -_-

On our third—and sadly last—day in Barcelona, we went to the Sagrada Família. We almost couldn't get tickets because we bought them too late, which is why we ended up taking a guided tour. It turned out to be super interesting and was probably even more worth it than going without a tourXD And honestly, in terms of architecture, it was the most beautiful church I've ever visited✨
After our visit, we obviously went souvenir shopping—I got myself a little pencil as a keepsake—and then went to get some patatas bravas. OMG, they were so delicious 🤤
