The Prague Castle

So, our last day of the trip. We went up to Prague Castle to do a bit of sketching and visit all the buildings. Especially the super pretty cathedral with the stained glass windows. It was so beautiful and colorful, even though there were honestly a bit too many people 0-0 But luckily we got there early enough and didn't stand in lines for sooo long...

A day off from walking

Since we walked nearly 20k steps four days in a row and, honestly, aren't really used to that kind of thing, we thought we’d take a rest day. So, early in the morning, I did some drawing for about an hour, then went back to sleep until we decided around 1 p.m. to grab some food and head over to the second Warhammer store. There, I picked up a pack of grass and a pack of mushrooms for my boyfriend’s crafting, and a Goblin mini for my dad so he could paint it too. Other than that, we just sat in the park and watched the doggos and the fountains. And since we took the tram there and back, I wanted to sketch that as well :) Honestly, public transit in Prague was sooo convenient—with our Deutsche Bahn in Germany, we can only dream of that 😭

Frog ball

Since we caught a rather rainy and cold week, we thought we’d visit the National Museum in Prague on one of the days. Yesterday was that day. There were so many cool exhibitions, but I was most fascinated by the mammoth, the medieval section, the colorful minerals, and of course, the FROG BALL🫪 But the building itself is also very beautiful; I love the ornate details of the roof✨

Let's walk around Prague

Today was the first day we really spent wandering around Prague✨ Of course, we hit the 'basic' sights like the Astronomical Clock and Charles Bridge. We checked out some stores—I obviously had to pick up some art supplies—and took plenty of breaks in different spots. That’s why I wanted to capture the pause spots of the day: the TV Tower, the Dancing House and a beautiful Gothic church.

To draw the TV Tower, my boyfriend dragged me up a hill (the plan was just to find a park with somewhere to sit and sketch, but the first park turned out to be a closed cemetery, so we somehow ended up on this hill with a great view of the towerXD).

Also, I was lining the sketch so late at night that I somehow missed a whole level of the tower. I had to draw it in at the very end when everything was already finishedXD

Warhammer, dumplings, Prague Castle, and a high tower.

I had my very first trip to a Warhammer store, and the guy working there immediately tried to talk me into painting a mini. It was kind of funnyXD

Other than that, we climbed a tower that day—which was super high and terrifying, but beautiful—and ate some really delicious dumplings🤤✨ Aaand we wrapped up the day by sitting by the river and doing some sketching. It was solo tedious to line the tower this time.

Maybe the trip and all that walking is catching up to me and I am starting to work slow0-0

I got bird poop in my sketchbook now:/

"On the first day of our vacation, we decided to take advantage of the great weather and went to the Prague Zoo. Since I wanted to fill a page for every day, I sketched a few animals. But while I was in the bird house trying to draw some gorgeous birds, a flying beast pooped right into my sketchbook. Now I have an 'interesting' souvenir from the zoo...

Of course, I washed my sketchbook immediately, as well as my hand and my hair 👍"
