Had to bail on this one because I got picked up but thought I’d share.

This 2-hour long plein air painting was made with Holbein Acryla (matte acrylic) on 300gsm paper. I really enjoyed working in this medium and can’t wait to use it again!

Today’s paint out with the Plein Air Painters Chicago group was a blast. The weather was perfect.

Ive only been out maybe 5 ish times after about two years of painting. It took me so long to get over that anxiety of painting outdoors but I think most of us can identify with the ‘getting hooked’ feeling about it. It is still a big challenge for me but I am super excited about it.
Only downside is this big box french easel i have to carry around. In time I will either make or buy a more portable set up
