Some old ladies who always hang out with their dogs where I was painting liked the painting so I gave it to them.
Mural painted for a local coffee shop in Toronto

Did a quick drawing on procreate waiting for my flight home
My buddy brought me to this sweet location to do a plein air, I struggled with this one but there another 20+ sculptures here so I’ll be back.
My dad’s struggling with Parkinson’s but is being such a legend about it. As his body and mind are slowly failing him he keeps putting one foot in front of the other. He does his best to be grateful for each day.

Painting in the shade so brough my parents dog out to hang out. She doesn’t get to spend time outside like that very often because my parents live in the 7th floor of a condo and she mainly just goes for walks. Fun watching her watch the birds and painting
Rented a boat to go check out the tall ships docked in the harbour.
Was hoping they’d all sail out together but that’s not the case this year.
Taken with a Fuji and Sony camera
Spent a couple of weeks out west in Nelson painting, only did a couple I actually liked but thought I’d dump all the ones I had a photo of.
Honestly if I do one I like I’m stoked

Taken from Quincy
Down in Boston so went out to paint some New England type shit. Waited until the afternoon because the morning was bad with the wildfire smoke, as seen in the 2nd photo.
Might work on this one at home a bit
I already painted this Ice Cream Truck where it parks up during the day near the adventure playground in High Park. This time I got it where it retires for the evening.
Painted with gouache in Toronto.
I painted this line of trees last night with my friend but lost the light almost right away. This morning I felt like the painting looked super muddy and busy so I tried to work on top of it to simplify some of the shapes and colours from memory. In the process I feel as if I just made it worse.
In my mind I want to be able to resolve a painting I did on location at home but in practise I’m never happy with my adjustments.
I probably just need to paint more at home in general but I’m curious what other people feel about moving a plein air home to continue working on it.
I love these bridges for wildlife crossing so I had to paint one.
Outside of Radium Hot Springs in B.C.
Set up in the shade to paint this classic Banff location.
Hammered out 4 paintings today, here’s one of them
Painting the gas station to polish off my time in Nelson.
Went with cad red underpainting, looked cool.
Gouache and acrylic gouache white.
