New to plein air

Ive only been out maybe 5 ish times after about two years of painting. It took me so long to get over that anxiety of painting outdoors but I think most of us can identify with the ‘getting hooked’ feeling about it. It is still a big challenge for me but I am super excited about it.
Only downside is this big box french easel i have to carry around. In time I will either make or buy a more portable set up

The switch- Oils to Gouache

Hi! I am an oil painter from south louisiana and I just bought some gouache paint to try out. I know there will be a bit of a learning curve with it but I am excited! I got it mainly to be able to do value and color studies without having to go through the whole process of oils. Just quick and easy. Any good tips or tricks from others who went from oils to gouache would be great
