Searching an intelligent FMC

I'm tired of badass female protagonists; I'm looking for one who values study and the mind.

Please suggest books with female protagonists who are academic, intelligent, and passionate about books, in the style of Hermione Granger and Emily Wilde. I would like a good romance with an interesting magic system and that does not contain explicit sex scenes.

The Beatles are singing Help for me right now.

Fanfics about Hermione going to Slughorn's party with Harry?

It would be better if it were a rewrite of the chaos that is *The Half-Blood Prince*, please.

Can anyone recommend good Harmony fanfics where they end up together in the tent?

Preferably one that is romantic and doesn't have spice content, please?

How would the Harmony-related HBP problems be resolved?

Hello, friends, I'm back once again to edit the canon books. This time, it is Half-Blood Prince.

Anyone who read my previous post here knows that I sort of edited DH to turn it into a Harmony endgame for my own enjoyment.

"Edit" is a kind word; I took my old copy of the book, paper, glue, and the printer to replace the names of Ginny and Ron at crucial moments.

Just like the kisses, the moments when Harry constantly thought about Ginny are replaced by a longing for Hermione, and, obviously, from that horrible phrase "She's like a sister" is also replaced by "She's the love of my life," etc.

I'm a bit cheesy, I admit.

Now, my book is a miscellaneous of mismatched fonts, glue everywhere and scraps of paper.

In our brief conversation in the comments, DrOwl795 remarked that, to fix the mess Rowling made with the couples, we need to go back to The Half-Blood Prince. And since then, I have been obsessively thinking about that wonderful idea.

I sit down and think about editing. I eat, and my mind drifts to Hogwarts. It is decided by the sheer force of the obsessions.

To embark on this arduous journey, I come here seeking advice from all of you.

Which parts of the book do you find most problematic?

What would you remove, or what would be replaced?

Help me get through this, my friends; it's hard, but fun, I think or I need to convince myself that I'm not crazy.

My solution for the canonical book Deathly Hallows: an experiment

Ever since I discovered the books, I have vehemently disagreed with the couples formed haphazardly.

Harry and Ginny? Hermione and Ron? I think those decisions were completely out of character for Harry and Hermione.

I'm re-reading it, and an idea popped into my head to make DH glorious again. I grab my art supplies, some good old glue, and my well-worn copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and start working on this crazy idea.

Harry and Ginny's kiss? Now, Hermione takes the place that is rightfully hers.

Harry thinking about Ginny? Not a chance. It’s Hermione he’s pining for.

Do Hermione and Ron kiss? Actually, it’s a passionate kiss between Hermione and Harry.

The icing on the cake is the epilogue. We finally get to read the conclusion to Harmony; Gina isn't in it. Ron is with someone else, and I’m happily living in that fantasy now.

I think I can finally continue my re-reading now; my mind has found peace.

Thanks, dear friends, for reading my confession! I think I'm going to get hated on the main sub...What do you all think about this?
