K1 Visa - PCC requirements for Syria

Hello,

I am currently collecting my PCCs in preparation for my interview, but one particular PCC (from Syria) is proving very difficult to get. It's difficult even getting a clear answer on if this PCC is even obtainable.

For context I was in high school in Syria as a foreign student. I left in 2011 before things went bad in the region.

While the Civil Document Reciprocity site does not outright say that the PCC is completely unobtainable, it ONLY states that it is available to Syrian citizens and that even then it may be unobtainable to them if outside the country. It mentions NOTHING about being obtainable to foreigners. Because of this I have no idea where I stand or what to do. Any help would be really appreciated.

K1 Fiance Visa - Police Clearance Certificate for foreigners

Hello,

I am having a difficult time trying to get a straight answer on the obtainability of a police clearance certificate for myself as a foreigner who lived in Syria. Several different law firms and an embassy keep giving me different answers and even changing their answers days later.

First they say it's not possible, then they say they cannot provide an extract for anything prior to the war happening, then lastly they say it IS possible.

One law firm says I shouldn't bother obtaining one because it won't be officially recognized for any visa purposes, and another other one just straight up says it's $1500 to process which is ridiculous.

Does the Ministry of Interior currently give Police Clearance Certificates or alternative documents for foreigners who lived in Syria prior to 2012? I can't seem to find a clear answer on this and the one embassy which I thought I could rely on suddenly changed their answer from no to yes with the explanation of "the rules are still changing".

I am at complete loss here. Any help would be VERY much appreciated.

Getting an NBI sent back from overseas

Hi all,

I have been looking all over for a clear answer and can't seem to get one for my question.

I have done my NBI Form 5 from the consulate in the UK and received it.

I am now about to send it to the Mail Clearance office in Manila but after looking into it some more I noticed that the instructions from the consulate website do not clearly state anything about international delivery/return of the NBI document once completed. The instructions say to include some payment to cover processing and courier services, but the cost is so low that it has me skeptical about how this could possibly cover international deliveries.

Has anyone here received their NBI Clearance back from Manila via international courier? Did you have to include a prepaid envelope with your return address? Did you have to ask your courier of choice to pick it up from the Mail Clearance office, or did the Mail Clearance office just take your prepaid envelope and send it on its way once your NBi process was done?
