Fell for two sunscreens that aren't Asian but kinda pretended to be

First l got the biore aqua because everybody loves them. I was so excited to see it in my store. Eh, they use different filters in Europe so l super overpaid.

Now l got the Kiyomi skin spf. Kiyomi is Japanese right? The package also had a design that just screamed Japan with the red circle and cherry blossom branches. Wrong again, made in Germany.

After that l paid more attention and saw more products have an "Asian one inspired" design but are made elsewhere.

So partly l want to vent but l also warn all non asian residents to pay special attention. If you are in a hurry and can't check, better not take it. A good indicator is if the text is in your native language and not the usual mix of whatever Asian language the product is from and English. If l only thought about this before..

It's not really cultural appropriation but it partly feels a bit like consumer fraud.

Experience with using baby and kids products?

My favourite mild cleanser (Q&A) isn't available anymore and any alternatives either have harsher ingredients or are pretty pricey, or both.

I tend to have dry, sensitive skin.

So logically, products for babies and kids should be ok for me to use right?

What are your experiences?

My fave with lots of aloe Vera and no harsh acids sadly isn't available anymore.

My skin tends to be dry and sensitive and l don't want to remove any make up or spf with it, just the daily dust. I am looking for a simple and short inci list to minimise the risk of my skin reacting.

I also prefer mineral oil free products.

Thank you

Regrettably my stores stopped carrying my gentle everyday cleanser, the Q+A Niacinamide Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser.

Honestly I'm not too crazy about the niacinamide but my skin loves this product, the aloe vera makes the difference.

Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Aqua (Water), Niacinamide, Decyl Glucoside, Coco-Betaine, Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Jojoba Esters, Inulin, Levulinic Acid, Sodium Levulinate, Sodium Gluconate, Fructose, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate

As you can see, Aloe Vera is the first ingredient and the overall list is very short. There are also no harsh acids. I also appreciate that it doesn't contain mineral oils.

I have combo skin but it's more dry and sensitive. Other cleansers that claim to be gentle dry out my skin and make it feel tense. I would like another cleanser that's also hydrating or moisturizing. Or maybe you can give me a hint on how to find something myself.

Looking forward to suggestions, Thank you!

Sadly a lot of the older posts aren't up to date, the product isn't available anymore, eg Anissa, or I'm not sure if the composition changed, eg purito.

I'm also looking for a spf for swimming and diving, just not humidity.

I used the lpr and eucerin ones because sadly the cheaper ones clog my pores and now I'm curious what Asian alternatives there are.

Thank you

It's too bad l can't post a photo. In my German drugstore Rossmann K-products are about 1/4 to 1/2 more expensive which makes sense. But the Biore is about 12 Euro, about the same as in Korea or on K Shops (idk about Japan).

Is it because they use a different formula for the EU market? The package is in French and German, it's even made in Germany.

I'm very curious if somebody knows something about this, thank you.
