Im 18 and it feels like I’m behind on everything important in life. All my friends have boyfriends; I don’t. They all know what their future job is gonna be; I don’t. A boy has never talked to me and when I say I don’t know what my future job will be, I mean that I have absolutely no idea. It feels like everyone who was in a situation similar to mine is finding a partner and a career or, at least, a field of study that interests them.
My friends are watching outer banks, off campus, Ginny and Georgia, and Bridgerthon while I’m fck watching the Simpson. They all have passions, hobbies and interests. I have lost interest in most of my hobbies over the last year. It feels like there’s something I didn’t quite understand about life. It feels like I’m behind all the time and it’s so fck exhausting.
And whenever you mention feeling behind, people tell you it’s normal and okay… I KNOW IT IS ! Knowing it’s normal doesn’t make it feel any better. It still sucks and I still feel like I’ve done something wrong

I have been been best friends with this girl since we were 6 yo. From as far as I can remember, she has always been very eager to get a boyfriend. She’s a romantic and she heavily wished a guy would like her or ask her out. It never happened at school or outside of school. Never has a guy texted her, asked for her snap/number/insta or talked to her with romantic interests in mind.
In October of 2025, she turned 18 and immediately created herself an account on dating apps.
Since January of 2026, she has had 4 situationships with guys ( 1 in January and 3 since march)
The first one was 18M who was way too obsessed with her and the idea of having a girlfriend. He was very insecure/possessive, wanted her to be texting him 24/7, and got mad when she took time to answer. She ended things woth him herself.
The next one was 20 M, in march 2025. He seemed like a great guy, but, looking back, I think he had some issue to solve before getting a girlfriend. I think he realized that, because after a few dates and a kiss, he ended things up with my best friend by explaining he wasn’t ready. ( I know that’s often an excuses used by guys, but this guy was on antidepressants and had a few family issues, so I genuinely think he’s a good guy who wasn’t ready)
The next one was 18M and started in mid-May and ended around June 7th. My best friends and him both agreeded they wanted to take their time… except I don’t think my friend really wanted to take her time. She has wanted a boyfriend all her life, therefore, after their third date, she was disappointed cause they didn’t kiss. She was kinda disappointed cause the guy wasn’t able to see her once a week ( which is what she was expecting). Finally, the guy explained it was going too fast for him, my friend said she was willing to slow down but not too much and the guy took too long to answer ( a week) so she ended things with him.
Now, she called me to go see her because she wants to tell me about her new boyfriend ( implying they’re already dating)
It’s not even been a minth since the last guy and I feel like she might be just accepting to date anyone who shows interest towards her. I’d like to tell her to be careful and maybe slow down but at the same time, it’s kind of her dream to get a bf….

Edit: I’m also the only one who doesn’t have a boyfriend in our friend group, so I don’t want to sound like a jealous friend..

This weekend, I’ll be taking pictures of girls at prom. I’ll take pictures when they’ll get out of their car and when they’ll walk toward the church.
I’d like to take the best pictures possible and wonder what settings I should use.
I won’t be very close to them, more like a few feet away, down the small path leading to the church.

I’m looking to buy my 1st smart watch and I’m hesitating between Apple Watch series 11 and Garmin Venus 3S
- I have an iPhone 11
- I’m worried about the apple battery not being able to last all day
- I don’t need ultra sport features, but I’d like some basic ones
-I don’t want a watch that requires paiements additional to the price of the watch

Color: Black or another color that can easily match many outfits
Look: Not bulky. “Feminine” or unisex. Teenage fashion ( idk if that’s a thing makes sense but I’m 18, so I’d like something Thats doesn’t look like it belongs to a grandma )
