kendamil goat formula

hello!

i am looking into slowly introducing my 8 week old to formula. i have a terrible milk allergy so i wanted to start with kendamil goat!

i was going to use distilled water to slowly introduce to her. do i still need to boil the distilled water? she was born at 40 weeks and 2 days with no health issues.

how much are you feeding your 7-8 week old?

hello! i just switched from bf to pumping 3 weeks ago. my hand from the hospital said babies from 1-12 months take in 25-32oz a day.

i do think im in a bit of an oversupply? i can get 7oz out at night. i pump once or twice during the night - i do it when she wakes up. and then every 2-3 hours during the day when i get 3-5oz out.

baby is sleeping 5-7 hour stretches at night. i usually give her 3-4oz during the day every 2-3 hours. no real schedule nap or wake time, i just go off her cues and try to wake her every 2-3 hours if she hasn’t eaten and nap is going during the day. she has been taking in 27-30oz a day.

i am worried about overfeeding/underfeeding. she was born 6lbs10oz and is now 9.8 on my home scale, she will be 8 weeks wednesday.

any input would be great! first time mom here who overthinks everything

too sleepy 4 week old??

hello,

new first time mom here. my sweet baby was born 6/24. she is 4 weeks and some odd change today. she loves to sleep during the day - i have to wake her for 95% of her feeds during the day, i usually wake her up by checking her diaper and making her “mad” with the cold wipe.

got clearance from the pediatrician to feed ad lib, can go up to 5 hours at nigh (wake to feed if she doesn’t wake herself up), and . she is breast fed. i’m just worried about the ad lib since she sleeps SO MUCH, and i need to wake her every 2.5-3 hours to eat, she doesn’t cry much. i can’t think of a time during the day she woke herself up recently

during the night, i set an alarm since she sleeps for 4.5 hours at the beginning of the night - i have to wake her up to feed her, convinced she would sleep all night - she does cry out after that time to let us know she’s hungry. i do set alarms for every 3 hours to check on her. im worried something is wrong, no fever (i checked rectally)

and when i wake her up to change her diaper she wakes up and will eat for 10-20 minutes at the ready. she is gaining weight appropriately - was 6lbs10oz at birth and now 8lbs8oz. she is awake in the mornings so we do tummy time and high contrast cards at this time. plenty of wet and poop diapers.

i have a pediatrician appointment tomorrow, any insight would be helpful.
