Federal Bank paid 10K compensation

I had a Jupiter Federal Bank account, which I closed on 2nd March 2026. The catch was that I had a ₹60,000 balance in my savings account, which was put on hold due to the account closure. They promised me that they would transfer the balance within 15 working days, but it didn’t happen as promised.

After 30 days, I filed a complaint with the RBI asking for a refund and compensation. On the 28th day after the RBI complaint, they transferred my balance, but there was no explanation for the delay or any compensation. So, I was not ready to close the matter and decided to fight back by asking for interest on the money they kept on hold and compensation for the delay.

After 2 ½ months, they credited ₹10,000 as compensation today. However, there was still no explanation from the bank’s side. I’m sure this money came from the official Jupiter Money account.

Now, should I close the matter if they come back again, or should I continue fighting for interest on the money they kept on hold?

No more TOLET Board culture in Chennai?

I was in Chennai 2018 to 2020 ,then I moved to Bangalore now I came back to Chennai and I'm looking for a Rental property, in 2018 I used to go around the street to find the TOLET boards in front of a house. I thought doing the same like 2018 but to my surprise finding TOLET boards becomes near impossible in Chennai. I thought I was only this way but few of my friends from Chennai had this experience before in recent times.

Why did Chennai let go of the TOLET board culture?

Is it because of brokers ?

Is it because No broker like apps?

Any other reason?

I feel that Paytm digital gold purchases are a big scam. The buying price for 1 gram of gold is ₹15,285 plus 3% GST. On the other hand, the selling price on Paytm for the same gold is ₹14,488. That’s an immediate depreciation of around 5% plus 3% GST, totaling nearly 8%.

To recover just this difference, it takes months in the current gold price scenario. Are people aware of this?

I used to buy 24K digital gold or physical gold from local shops. There, the depreciation on resale is usually only ₹100–₹200 per gram. This ₹800 difference is too high.

Can anyone explain is this normal?
