So...when will the official trailer be released?
I am in Asia so it is today 22/5. I suppose the trailer will be dropped on 21/5 US time? So today for me? Idk, have heard HBO drops trailers one month before premiere.

I have looked up all forms of contraception, and tbh I do not really trust them. I know no contraception is 100% risk free, and I do not to bear even that 1% or 0.X% risk of getting pregnant. Maybe I have tokophobia, or maybe I am just very aware of what pregnancy might do to my life and body. Unfortunately, I am not sure if at this age (21), I can get sterilized, nor do I think my family will agree to that either.
So I have been thinking, if I do not ever want children, I would perhaps just abstain from sex. Frankly speaking this has been the number 1 reason why I am avoiding any sort of relationship with men, because I understand that sex is somehow a part of relationship but I do not want that (obviously I also want sex in a relationship but the fear of pregnancy really overwhelms the otherwise carnal desire).
Do you think a person can go on with abstinence forever, or maybe until I can get sterilized or reach the age where I am no longer capable of childbearing?
I do think maybe the fact that I dislike romance/am aromantic has something to do with it, because I do not think I can enjoy purely romantic relationships with sex involved.
I am curious as to what the fandom think. I feel like it has been one of the more shocking/uncomfortable additions to the show, but there are divided opinions about their relationship. I have seen people say they are genuinely "sweet" but also more people saying it is a sad, traumatizing/trauma-fuelled relationship. Some also say it is an unnecessary addition which serves only to humiliate the characters/actors.
What do you think
Before a girl is mature, there are comments from pedophilic people. A girl should not dress like this, a girl should not dress like that. Why is she acting like an OF porn star??? (when it is just a girl filming her room in normal wear)
Then a girl is dating. There comes the flood of comments on virginity. "Nobody wanna date you hoes" "fuck around and you are a whore". If you are not straight, Bi girls get erased, lesbians are just traumatized or brainwashed by the left.
Then some girls get married. "According to the Bible, a wife is obliged to have sex with the husband" "why aren't you submissive enough?" "your husband is a low value man for marrying you". Attacks are even worse when a wife claims she is abused by her husband, or files a divorce. "Husbands should leave their wives when they refuse sex" "she should have seen that coming" "marry better, it is your fault"
The women these girls become, get pregnant. "Should husband have sex with pregnant wife?" "why should husband not have sex with pregnant wife?" Discussions and debates on husbands cheating when wife is pregnant, not staying by her side when she is in labor. Somehow there are men justifying these actions.
Then wives become mothers, and attacks continue. She is brainwashing her children to hate their father. She has to do all the housework and work full-time. Why is she complaining? Men work longer hours...
I observe a pattern here. There is no right way for women or girls to live anymore, according to modern narratives. No matter what you do, which age you are, what relationship you are in, you will be attacked one way of another. Perhaps the men are attacked as well, or maybe women are just disproportionately attacked worse. Feminism is to be blamed for everything, ofc, according to most comments. They hate feminism, and say it is a conspiracy to take down civilization.
I am not from any of the Western countries, but from the media and social media outlets I can see that most online people these days are somehow obsessed with how a woman lives her life. Not sure if that is the phenomenon in the US, in Western countries in general, or in the world. I have been on the Chinese social media app Little Red Note, while they are not as fierce, similar debates are increasing.
What has our world become that men seem to hate women so much, and the other way round? I keep seeing these gender wars going on literally everywhere.
Was reading Fire and Blood, and Rhaenyra mocked Laenor by saying that her half brothers would be more to his taste. Lol imagine that actually happening.
I (21f) know I experience attraction (mostly physical but not really romantic) to both genders, and I have never seriously dated. I have been observing both kinds of relationships, and tbh I feel like both are not very appealing.
With women, there is obviously the social stigma and prejudice, family disapproval and people constantly telling you that as a woman you have to be with a man. Then there is the overly emotionally charged dating practice. I have heard many stories of toxic and unstable lesbian relationships. Personally, I have gone on a date with a woman, and she told me I was everything to her on the first date. FIRST DATE??!! I feel like wlw often means too much emotion, too much feeling and little rational planning. Also lesbian relationships are high on romance, which I personally dislike.
Now with men, I think there is an endless list. Perhaps there is no social prejudice, but there comes the list of problems within straight relationships. Potential abusers, sexual assaults, unwanted pregnancies, forever debate in whether you need to remain a virgin, fear of the guy going away after taking your virginity so now you are "broken". Men being crybabies, men suck, men judging your everything, everybody judging you for ABCDE...
I honestly have no idea what to do. It seems like both relationships are horrible. At the same time, I really want somebody special. I am not a romance person, nor do I like hookup or casual. I want a relationship. But the current dating scene just...idk how to describe it.
Any bi women with insights I can learn from?
I do not justify his actions with his childhood trauma or bullying bullshit. Because no amount of that would justify burning an entire city of innocents.
He is therefore, not a cute kitty, not a babygirl. He is a crazed mass murderer and war criminal fuelled by broken ego and personal trauma. A mental patient who should be locked up but instead got a big ass dragon to nuke everything and lash out when he wants to.
But I love him for that. It is fictional. I love a ruthless character in a fictional world who lashes out, kills people he thinks deserve to be killed. His end must be death (better gruesome and undignified), for poetic justice of his crimes. But as audience I love seeing villains do crazy destructive stuff. Better than holding back like they do with Rhaenyra and Alicent. I signed up for this show exactly for that kind of crazy.
If conservatives value traditional gender roles so much, they should view men as providers and breadwinners of the family right? To them, men who want a traditional wife but want her to also split the bill should not be considered a conservative man. In fact, they should start shaming men who cannot provide because by traditional standards they are bread losers.
I respect both conservative and liberal views but I think the most disgusting thing one can do is to be hypocritical about their beliefs. If a man is conservative, he should uphold the breadwinner ideology and shame other man for not being able to be one or men who depend on women
So much gender and relationship discourse out there has been whether a woman should remain a virgin, a woman is labelled "for the streets" "whore" for having casual sex, whether a woman should be entitled to abortion, whether a woman should pay the bill, should want kids, want a job or stay at home...
The list is endless. And I have the general impression that whatever we do, it is wrong. Men will always find things to criticize us. In these circumstances, would you still wanna date a man? Or do you think there are men out there who aren't like this? If the number of good men is disproportionately low compared to women, does that mean most of the straight women would end up single or with men who suck?
Any opinions?
(FYI: I am bi so while I am attracted to men sometimes, I do feel attraction to women as well, and that perhaps makes me think if relationship with men fails, I may be with a woman. But idk about what straight women who are not attracted to women think)
Is it makeup on his eye, because it looks red and swollen, like he has been punched.
Modern day feminism makes me feel so happy and proud of how far women have come, in the economy in the workplace.
But I am just not for it. I feel so exhausted. Every day I study fucking hard in law school. I look at my grades like my life depends on it. Every failure is earth shattering. Every job application makes me rethink my worth. I am so tired. I wanna quit, I am not fit to be an independent strong woman maybe. I am for the house.
I don't wanna care anymore. I used to hate the idea of marriage, being stuck at household or even getting pregnant. Now I am not sure. If that means I do not have to think about work, competition for a fucking internship and studying my ass off just to fail, I think maybe I would like that life. Find a man, get married, fucked, pregnant, children. At least I can be stop caring about anything in the job market right now, it is hopeless
This might sound very childish, I know. I am sorry. I feel like shit I wanna rant.
Saw this on Twitter so I looked at the clip again. Daemon seemed to follow Aemond after their dinner staredown. Wonder where they go 🙃
Not trying to ruin the moment but like if there is this big ass dragon bursting from the floor all of a sudden, and I am completely unarmed and startled and everything, I would have grabbed ANYBODY next to me. Like literally idc who you are please I am scared.
Coming from HK, there are so many films in the past which were popular. They were mostly gangster movies, in which women were just literal objects. Girlfriends of gangsters, fuck mates, rape victims, attempted rape victims to be saved by the male lead then turned into his lover, women to be manipulated, played with, saved etc.
Honestly these movies are so celebrated even today I feel slightly uncomfortable. I just do not know how I am supposed to enjoy these movies where women are literal objects for the male characters. They exist as devices to show male cruelty or heroism. They do not exist on their own.
Am I supposed to self-insert into the men to enjoy it? Or am I supposed to like the women characters, relate to them and feel like yay! I love being raped, hurt and used like shit. How do female audience in this day and age enjoy movies like these?
I personally just cannot.
Honestly

I did not think so before when he had his sapphire eye on display, maybe cuz he was wearing leather (or eh nothing). That made him look exactly like a fantasy prince with cool eye design. But this shot in the recent teaser just makes him look like a cyborg lolll. For a split second I got terminator vibe idky, like somebody who is half machine half human and about to kill you with a machine gun vibe. Maybe cuz he is clad in metal this time idk.
In a good way ofc.
I have been on this fandom for months since season 2, and frankly speaking all the negativity has affected my interest a bit. But the recent trailer hyped me up again 😭😭😭 I am a sucker for this universe and at this point I will watch whatever dogshit they feed us with just so I can see my favs again.
When is the official trailer. When, tell me when 😭😭😭😭😭
