Selling 2 Ed Sheeran Tickets - Saturday, August 22 - Below Face Value

Section 223
Row 2

Bought them as soon as they went on sale, but unfortunately life has gotten in the way and I am not going to be able to make it.

I uploaded them for re-sale on Ticketmaster but they add like $70 to the price so they still earn on a re-sell which is awful value for the new buyer and makes it less likely to find a buyer to do that, so trying to just do this directly.

If anyone is interested, please dm me or comment, selling at $300 CAD each which is below Face Value for the tickets.

Lost Pro Access?

I am quite confident I purchased pro on HLM 26 based on the many teams that ive done, such as starting with an OHL club before finally getting an NHL job in the 2030s and making them a champ in 2041...

Went to start a new one and it says I have to purchase pro still?

EDIT: Realized what happened. Had issues with email for Google play account so using a different Google play email on my phone now, which means the app thinks the one now being used never paid for pro. Is what it is, I guess I'll purchase again when 27 is out.

M30 - Seeking advice; went to a consultation with Dr. Rahal, only saw Tech who recommended 2,200 grafts/$6.50 per graft for just hairline

My hairline has essentially been peaked in a U shape my entire adult life. It progressed slightly from age 18-25, but has stayed the same since then.

I am now 30, and have been considering a hair transplant for quite some time. I went for a consultation at Dr. Rahal in ottawa, I never met the doctor, just one of the technicians who walked me through the process, took photos, took measurements and estimates, drew a hairline from my existing peak, not lowering it in any way. He said by the rule of 3rds, where my current hairline is at its closest point is where they would draw it anyways.

The technician did feel though that despite having coarse (forget the exact number but they took a donor hair and measured the diameter in microns), curly hair, we would want about 40 grafts per sq cm, and also to thicken the very front of my hair, and estimates it to 2200 grafts. At $6.50 per graft + tax, this was over $16,000 CAD or around $12,000 USD.

It felt like more grafts than I anticipated, I expected closer to 1800 (which if I go through with it still may end up the case), as this felt a bit more than necessary considering the hair I do have is still thick/average thickness, and would lower the price by about $3,000 CAD.

Does anyone have advice over this hair transplant/clinic, or if I should wait a few years, or go to other clinics? I currently use 5% topical minoxidil which I started recently, but have never used anything else like Fin/Dut. I still want to do this but $16,000 for just my hairline feels really excessive, as does 2,200 grafts for just this area.

Any advice is appreciated!

Montreal with the biggest standings boost for expected wins due to back to backs while divisional rivals Boston Ottawa & Toronto are all tied for last.

Boston Toronto and Ottawa all play 6 more times on the 2nd half of back-to-backs vs rested teams than times they are the rested team facing a tired team.

Their shared division rival Montreal on the other hand lead the NHL by playing 9 more times vs tired teams when rested than times they are the tired team facing a rested team.

This means that Montreal has a differential of 15 games better in terms of back-to-backs impacting their performance. Between 22-23 and 23-24, MTL had the worst drop in the NHL in xG% on the 2nd half of back-to-backs compared to their other games This is not about the number of games they played, but how they performed on the 2nd halves.

This scheduling difference of 15 games is projected to lead to between 4-6 points in standings difference for Montreal over 3 of their closest rivals due solely to scheduling benefits. This follows a trend for Montreal to be facing tired teams who have faced either Toronto or Ottawa the night before, and rarely vice versa from 24-25 season onwards.

Help. My Partner washed a 100% silk pocket square, dark spots all over it.

Self-explanatory, we went to a wedding over the weekend that we traveled to, and had laundry to do from our suitcase when we got back. My partner took out the casual clothing, put on the laundry, and when I went to move it from the Washing Machine to the Dryer, I noticed she put my 100% silk pocket square and my tie in the wash along with the clothes (she says she did not know that you couldn't put silk in the wash and thought it was just the suit itself to not wash).

Unfortunate mistake, but I just want to know if there's a way to save that pocket square, because it was orange/white/blue and quite colourful and vibrant, and now the vibrancy is gone and there's dark spots all over it. It's quite expensive for a pocket square, easily my most expensive piece of clothing that is not a suit, and it was a gift from my sister. Please help!!

Elliotte Friedman reporting that Roy's interview went well, & Halpern has been told he's out of consideration for HC

On SN590 the fan, Elliotte Friedman joined Mike Futa & Matt Marchese. He stated that Patrick Roy's interview went very well, and that Roy is expected to be moving on to a 2nd round interview.

Elliotte also added that Tampa Bay assistant coach Jeff Halpern did interview for the role, but has been informed that he is not moving on to a second round interview. He noted that there have now been multiple times Halpern has interviewed but not been advanced despite being well liked, with teams being concerned that he's never been a pro head coach before - he likely needs to take a role as an AHL head coach to get that last check on his resumé before becoming an NHL head coach despite Stanley Cup winning experience as an assistant.

The history of the Calder Trophy having near-unanimous votes with Schaefer becoming just the 2nd unanimous winner of Rookie of the Year

For those wondering, the only other unanimous Calder champion is Teemu Selanne for his 76 goal campaign; other Calder votes have come close (and likely should have been unanimous) but did not get a unanimous winner.

The Calder winners with less than 10 voters going against the overwhelming favourite since 2000 are:

2020-2021 season - 99/100 for Kaprizov, 1 for Jason Robertson

2017-2018 season - 160/164 for Barzal, 2 for Boeser, 1 for Keller, 1 for Gourde

2016-2017 season - 164/167 for Matthews, 3 for Laine

2013-2014 season - 130/137 for Mackinnon, 5 for Palat, 1 for Krug, 1 forTrouba

2005-2006 season - 124/129 for Ovechkin, 4 for Crosby, 1 for Lundqvist

Awards Ballots only became public as of a PHWA vote in March 2018, so the only ones above where we know who voted against the expected winners were in 2017-2018 and 2020-2021.

In 2017-2018, John Dietz of the Arlington Daily Herald & Roy McGregor of the Globe & Mail voted for Boeser, with Jim Thomas of St. Louis Post-Dispatch voting for Keller, and Gann Matsuda of Frozen Royalty voting for Gourde.

In 2020-2021, the lone voter who chose Robertson over Kaprizov was Per Bjurman of Aftonbladet.

For one interesting fact as well, the 2012-2013 season saw Huberdeau and Gallagher tie with 54 first place votes each. The big decider in that year was 2nd place votes, with Huberdeau getting 55, and Gallagher getting just 44.

Kypreos on the reasoning inside MLSE for why Berube is still the Head Coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs

"I would believe if there wasn't some people pulling for Craig Berube inside the Maple Leafs organization, Chayka would probably lean towards getting rid of him." - Nick Kypreos

The Leafs Nation interviews 3 time NCAA champion head coach at the University of Denver, and back to back WJC gold medal winning head coach David Carle about his work after winning another title, his potential NHL coaching future, and coaching against potential first overall pick Gavin McKenna.

Personally, he has been my choice for new Head Coach since before Berube was hired back in 2024, and I still believe he is the man for the job. He is just 36 years old, but a better resume than almost anyone else has in their pre-NHL coaching careers, and has recused himself from prior NHL coaching searches as he has said he won't leave Denver unless he believes its the right fit for his career and his young family.

Berube knows he’ll have to be better next year and still holds a good relationship with Keith Pelley.

People joining the organization want to get to know the people currently working with the team—especially those still under contract, like Craig Berube (2 more years).

“It would be surprising if Berube isn’t on the bench at the start of the year.”

Reports u/DarrenDreger / u/FirstUp1050

EDIT: (Including Chayka's comments from the press conference on Berube)

Chayka: I talked to Craig last night. He is a guy who has been a respected leader for decades in the National Hockey League. I think he is a tremendous coach, a Stanley Cup coach, and a good person.

We had a good conversation. It was brief. We will get together later this week with Mats and go through it all. Mats and I are coming in as outsiders. He spent the past few years with the team. We want to listen, learn, understand his perspective, and go forward from there.

We are now less than 7 full days away from finding out if Toronto will keep their own first round pick this year, or if Boston will get pick 6 or 7 from us in the 2026 NHL Draft.

I ran the Draft lottery simulator 200 times, getting:

1st: 18 (9%)

2nd: 21 (10.5%)

3rd: 0 (0%)

5th: 42 (21%)

6th: 98 (49%)

7th: 21 (10.5%)

Keep the pick: 81 (40.5%)

Lose the pick: 119 (59.5%)

This is pretty in line with actual odds, where we are expected to keep the pick approximately 43.5% of the time, and lose it 56.5% of the time.

Ultimately, whether we keep the pick and draft a McKenna, Stenberg, Malhotra, Reid, Smits, Carels, or Verhoeff, is essentially a coin flip.

If we keep the pick, it also locks into transferring our 2027 and 2028 picks to Philadelphia & Boston, so it essentially eliminates tanking or any rebuild as a possibility until after the 2028 season is over. If we lose the pick to Boston, we keep our 2027 if we end up in the top 10, transferring to Philadelphia in 2028, or of we transfer the pick to Boston and don't finish bottom 10/win a lottery in 2027, we go back to having our first round picks for the 2028 Draft.

SDA is planning to return to Toronto for the 2026-2027 per his Agent. They previously had discussions about a return with Brad Treliving, and are waiting for the new GM to be named to continue/formalize discussions to (hopefully for SDA) return to the Maple Leafs organization. His contract with Dynamo in the KHL expires May 31st.

In the 2025-26 KHL regular season, Der-Arguchintsev played 59 games for Traktor and Dynamo, recording 36 points (six goals, 30 assists).

“I believe Semyon is ready for the NHL. Of course, he is ready for the possibility of playing in the AHL, but there is no point in going there just for that. We are talking about a one-way contract with a salary closer to the league minimum." Babaev said.
