I currently have sony Xm5, thinking if getting the airpods max 2 is a good idea?

Just got the shokz openfit 2 and it works fine with everything but when i use it for yt the audio comes from the phone and not from the headphones and can’t figure out a way to change the audio output
So is it a headphone thing or a phone issue?
