Charles Manson Tapes

Conversations with a Killer: Charles Manson Tapes was a well told story but was poorly executed in parts. There are reenactments and the actors are shown in side by side comparisons with the actual people. So for instance, they’re preparing to show a reenactment of Manson at a campfire, so they first show the actor side by side with an actual photo of Manson. The filmmakers think I need to know who is portraying Manson., okay good to know. Here’s the poorly executed part: By the 3rd episode, at times, instead of showing a photo of the actual person they’re referring to, they show a picture of the actor portraying the actual person. No side by side, just the actor. I can’t think of any reason the filmmakers would choose to do this, it’s just odd.

Dental Pain is Neglect

I’m going to assume nobody in the house was brushing or flossing on a regular basis. There had to be a lot of cavities, gum disease, rotten teeth, infection. In the older kids there would have been wisdom tooth pain as well. Just the amount of dental pain the kids would be experiencing would be grounds for neglect. On another note, we don’t see teeth in the adult’s mugshots, I’m guessing there’s a lot of rotten teeth there as well.
