I’m having a problem with launching the attack box. Every time I try to start it, it loads to 100% and then nothing else happens. The lab machine and Kali Linux start normally. I’ve tried refreshing the page, leaving and re‑entering the room, turning the attack box off and on again. It’s been like this for a few days and I don’t know what else I can do.

Brain fog, low energy and motivation after a surprisingly good first week of lifestyle changes

Hey everyone,

About 2–3 weeks ago I made a few big changes at once: quit vaping, started daily strength training + cardio, and cleaned up my diet (no processed food, not in a deficit, recently increased carbs).

The first week I felt really good — clear head, high energy, strong motivation, and almost no anxiety (I have an anxiety disorder).

Then it flipped. Now I have noticeable brain fog, worse thinking and memory, low motivation and energy, more irritability, and my anxiety came back (especially in the evenings). There was one random good day that felt like the first week, but then the fog and low energy returned.

Sleep is better now, rest days don’t really help much, and I’m still training every day.

Has anyone experienced this kind of delayed brain fog + energy crash after major lifestyle changes? How long did it last for you and did anything help clear the fog?

Thanks.

Anyone else had energy/motivation crash + anxiety return after a strong first week of quitting?

Hey,

I quit vaping about 2–3 weeks ago and at the same time started daily strength training + cardio and cleaned up my diet.

The first week was actually really good — high energy, strong motivation, almost zero anxiety (I have an anxiety disorder), even though I had some trouble falling asleep. I felt better than I had in a long time.

Then it flipped. Now I have low motivation and energy, brain fog, more irritability, and my anxiety came back (especially worse in the evenings). There was one random good day that felt like the first week, but then it dropped again.

Rest days don’t really help much. Sleep is better now. Still training every day and eating more carbs lately.

Has anyone experienced this kind of delayed crash after a surprisingly good first week? How long did the low energy, brain fog and anxiety waves last for you?

Thanks.

Anyone else experienced big fluctuations in energy, motivation, brain fog and anxiety after major lifestyle changes?

Hey everyone,

About 2–3 weeks ago I quit vaping, started daily strength training + cardio, and cleaned up my diet (no processed food, counting calories but not in a deficit, recently increased carbs).

The first week I felt amazing — high energy, strong motivation, almost no anxiety (I have an anxiety disorder), even though I had some trouble falling asleep.

Then it flipped. Now I have low motivation and energy, worse thinking/memory (brain fog), more irritability, and my anxiety came back (especially in the evenings). There was one good day that felt like the first week, but then it dropped again.

Rest days don’t really help, sleep is better now, and I’m still training every day.

Has anyone experienced something similar — big ups and downs in energy, motivation, cognition and anxiety after quitting nicotine / starting intense training / changing diet? What helped you or how long did it last?

5 5600x low fps problem

Is it normal that with a 5600X and a 9070XT I’m barely getting around 60 FPS on medium settings in 1440p? According to the Steam overlay my CPU is running at almost 100%, like it’s the bottleneck. But I saw a YouTube video where someone with the same CPU and a 5060 was getting around 100 FPS in Bodycam.

Can you take Security+ after the Google Cybersecurity Certificate? And is ISC2 CC even worth it then?

Hey everyone,
I’m finishing the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate on Coursera and I’m wondering if it actually prepares you well enough to take the CompTIA Security+ exam. A lot of the topics seem to overlap, but I’m not sure if the Google course alone is enough or if I should study additional Security+‑specific material.

Second question: is it worth doing the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) afterward, considering it basically validates a similar level of knowledge?
Do these certs complement each other, or is it just redundant and better to focus on one?

I’d love to hear from people who completed the Google Cybersecurity course and then went for Security+ or CC.

Day 8 on keto. Feeling normal, struggling with calories, and wondering if it's worth continuing (especially for building muscle)

Hey everyone,I just started keto and I'm currently on day 8. Honestly, I feel pretty much normal. The only real benefit I've noticed so far is more stable energy levels, but I feel like just cutting down carbs in general or increasing my physical activity would have given me the exact same result.

I'm starting to wonder if it's even worth continuing. I know that full benefits probably take more time, but right now I'm questioning if this diet makes sense for my goals. I'm currently on a deficit (cutting), and I'm already struggling to hit my daily calorie targets. I can't even imagine how hard it's going to be when I transition to a bulk. I have no intention of just stuffing my face with peanut butter all day—that's just miserable and not what this should be about.

On top of that, despite how popular keto is, it feels like there's a serious lack of actually good recipes out there.

How does this look for you guys? I'm not looking for answers from sedentary people—I specifically want to hear from those of you who actively lift and build muscle. Thanks!

Steam Link on Android has constant stutters

I installed Steam Link on my Android phone and I’m getting weird stutters while playing. It runs fine for a moment, then I get 2–3 heavy freezes, and then it’s smooth again. Sometimes the screen even goes black for a split second. I’m not really sure what else I can do to fix it.

In the performance overlay, both the cyan and red graphs spike, but the red one seems to spike the most. What’s strange is that if I stay in one location in the game, the stutters don’t happen — but as soon as I start moving around, they come back.

I don’t think it’s my PC, because Steam Link works perfectly on my TV. I also tested this on two different phones and the issue is basically identical, so I assumed it might be the Wi‑Fi. But I’m sitting literally 2 meters from the router, and the Wi‑Fi speed is around 200 Mbps after I changed the channel width (it used to be ~500 Mbps before that).

Things I’ve tried so far:

- different Steam Link settings

- high‑performance mode on the phone

- disabled power saving features in the router

- changed Wi‑Fi channel and channel width

- Airtime Fairness is off

- band steering is off

Has anyone had a similar issue and found a fix?

Youtube main page shows the same stuff all the time

Hey,
I’m using Brave and recently noticed that my YouTube homepage basically shows the same stuff all the time. It only changes when someone I’m subscribed to uploads a new video and that video often shows up on the homepage too.

I found a post from someone with the same issue, and they said it was caused by privacy settings in their adblocker. So I’m guessing it might be something similar with Brave.

Has anyone dealt with this and knows how to fix it?

External drive instead of internal drive

Hey, so I'm starting to run out of storage lately, but I kinda don’t feel like spending money on an internal drive right now since prices are pretty high and probably won’t get cheaper anytime soon.

I noticed that external drives are way cheaper, and I thought: why not just buy 2× 500GB, combine them, and plug them into the USB 3.1 port I have on my PC?
That would cost me around $53 instead of $132.

I know the speeds will be a bit lower, but that doesn’t really matter to me since I’m not moving huge files around. I’d mostly keep games on it, and I’m wondering if that would cause any issues when launching or playing them.

Also, I realized that inside those external enclosures there’s usually just a normal SSD. So maybe I could just take it apart and connect it internally in a better way than through USB.

What do you think?

Free certifications for cybersecurity

Hey, anyone knows some legit ways to get free courses + certificates? I stumbled across a repo with a bunch of free certs and trainings. I mean, I know they’re not worth as much as the official, paid ones, but since they’re free, I don’t really see a downside to throwing them into my CV. Feels like it can only help a bit if a recruiter is skimming through it.

Link for the repo im talking about:

Just upgraded from RTX 4060 to RX 9070 XT – texture pop-ins, stutters, and high temps. Need help!

Hey everyone,

Yesterday I upgraded my GPU from an RTX 4060 to an RX 9070 XT, and I have some serious doubts about how this new card is performing. During my testing yesterday and today, I've run into various issues across several games. I’ve only tested a few demanding titles that I already had installed, and the problems seem to vary depending on the game. Here is what's happening:

  • GTA IV: I'm getting a locked 60 FPS but with terrible stuttering, even though I easily got over 100 FPS on my old 4060. (Note: I do have FusionFix installed).
  • Red Dead Redemption 2: Some trees were literally disappearing and popping back in right in front of me. After a game restart, it went back to normal, but it still worries me.
  • The Witcher 3: I feel like textures about 10 meters away from me (and further out) look extremely low quality, like they are failing to load properly.
  • God of War Ragnarok: Missing textures in some places (though to be honest, I'm not 100% sure if this wasn't happening on my 4060 as well).

On top of all this, the GPU temperature reaches 88°C, which seems incredibly high to me. Strangely, the Steam overlay shows the GPU temp at only 55°C at the exact same time.

Just for context: I did use DDU to completely wipe the NVIDIA drivers before installing the new card. Right now, I just have this strong feeling that games aren't running anywhere near as good as they should on this hardware.

I am completely new to Team Red, so maybe there's something I should tweak inside AMD Adrenalin to make the card run properly? To be honest, I find the software a bit overwhelming and confusing compared to what I was used to.

Has anyone experienced anything similar with the 9070 XT, or knows what might be causing this? Any help would be highly appreciated!
