So, what’s up with Michael Shelley’s timeline??

Ffs, I’m just trying to write a pre-Distortion Michael/Gerard fic, but this guy’s timeline is so fucked up, like dude how old are you XD

Seriously though, I’m fairly new to the fandom (been here for only a couple of months) so I don’t know what the general acceptance is regarding things like this. Is there like, a fanon when it comes to when he started working for the institute/when he died exactly? Because I’m getting some very contradicting info from the official sources

Do you guys have the issue of starting several stories at once?

So, I recently got into a fandom which reignited my interest in writing fanfic. After 2 and a half years of not opening my AO3 account (unless it was for reading), I finally started posting again.

Only issue is, I can’t stick to one story.

I started writing a long fic bc I could, then at some point while writing chapter 5, I started writing a one-shot for the same fandom but of a different ship.

I then started writing another multi-chaptered work, also within this fandom (this one’s not posted yet), now that chapter 5 of my original work is posted, and I started writing chapter 6, as well as reworking chapter 1 of the other fic, I have gotten yet another new idea and started *another* multi chapters work.

And I have like, 3 more ideas lmao.

So now I’m writing 3 stories at roughly the same time… after not writing for over 2 years….

Has anyone else had that problem?

After losing a lot of motivation and taking a 2 years break (sadly abandoning 3 fics I have lost all interest in), I started posting again, have my total vs my 2026 stats! It’s nothing to write home about but I’m enjoying writing again!

Is there a way to delete certain artists from your ranking?

For a while, I used Spotify it listen to background study music and that behaviour caused those artists to basically jump to the top of my listening chart, even though I don’t really want them there. Is there a way to remove that stuff?

I started writing something, I wasn’t really planning to share it on any site, but some of my friends convinced me to.

I did end up posting the first chapter after talking myself into it and now I’m absolutely terrified for some fucking reason. Like I’m considering deleting my whole damn account because I’m cringing at myself for even thinking of sharing this online.

I know most people who don’t like it won’t end up reading it but still, I don’t know why I’m like this and I genuinely want to get more comfortable at sharing works and such. Anyone got any advice? Or even have the same issue or something? Am I weird for this??

I’m just kinda curious bc I saw someone talking about it earlier. We all know that a lot of the characters don’t have a canon description, and thus also don’t have a canon design. But that the fandom kinda came together to give them a design most people stick with.

And while I have kind of adjusted to most of these popular designs (and tend to imagine the characters looking like that now too), there is one that I always imagine slightly different. Which is Tim Stoker.

Idk why but I always imagined him looking like a mix between (early show) Robert Chase from House M.D. and Leon S. Kennedy from Resident Evil (specifically the RE4 design).

I have no clue why but even after consuming a bunch of fan art and fan animation, that head canon never really went away.

I will prolly go back to listen to all the side content I ended up skipping (I really i my skipped like, the campaigns and such ngl), and will prolly listen to TMP after I’ve gone through some of the side content that interests me most.

But honestly, it was a blast

I really enjoyed all 5 seasons, though did some parts more fun then others (in all honesty I was not that big of a fan of S5’s final act, but am still happy with how it ended up going.) but yeah, it was a fun ride.

If there’s like any side content I should especially check out, lmk. (I already did most of the Fluffs, Q&A’s and one of the livestreams)
