Video synth audio reactive
I have video synth that is audio reactive via cv inputs. I do not create my own music, so I have no cv from a synth to feed to it, rather I would want to use line level outs from a my amp, and reamaing in an analog enviornment.
I would plan on using a little cheap 10band eq to isolate bass and rythem or the melody to control the actual motion of the graphics I understand i could use another preamp to bring the levels up to what the the cv would recognize, However it would still be very jittery.
So how do I cheaply smooth it out?
Do i need to translate from ac to dc?
Has anyone done this, any suggestions?
Just FYI, my dream is someone is going to say, oh I built one of those, send me 50 bucks and money for parts, got your back.
