Literally I saw some students applied off campus for Google and they don't have good cp or icpc experience and avg projects still they selected for Google swe internship.
This side I applied with referral also have a cp, expert on codeforces, 4 star on codechef and knight on lc also have icpc challenge experience and good projects with so much stars on GitHub and thousands of clones .
Still my resume got rejected and I got a mail you are not selected..
Still I can't digest it..
Wtf their selection criteria?.
Does clg matter even for off campus?
What matters more for them ???
Where am I lacking?
Can anybody plz explain what is NQT and how tcs placement work ? 4 , 7 and 11 lpa all how it decides and what's the criteria?

BC tum log btech kar rahe ho aur ye bc slow walkers ekdam mid me chalte hai path ke and side bhi nahi dete lift to milne se raha aur late ho jaata hai.
Couple , gnd ka andhe log aisa lagta h duniya me koi hai hi nahi bas ye couple hi hai bhenchod side se chalo na aue log bhi hai sabko space do tum logo ki MKC .
Aur ye bade chutiye group me chalne wale inko kya hi bolu ....
Request hai plz side se chala karo plz ...
(English me bhi padh lo)
You guys are doing BTech, and then there are these slow walkers who walk right in the middle of the path and don’t even move aside. Forget getting a lift, you end up getting late because of them.
And couples seriously, it’s like they think there’s no one else in the world except the two of them. Please walk to the side. Other people exist too; give everyone some space. And don’t even get me started on those idiots who walk in huge groups and block the entire path.
It’s a request, please walk on the side and leave some space for others. Plzzzzz
If we give UPSC then chances of becoming an IAS are much higher than getting an internship at motorq.
It's L btw not W.
I want to know what are the different roles that exist apart from the quantitative dev and what are the requirements for that role ?
I'm a 3rd-year CS undergraduate. I recently spoke with the founder of an MFT (Market Making/Trading) startup after they saw my C++ low-latency systems project.
They want me to help build parts of their C++ low-latency backend, but the role is completely unpaid (around 2–3 hours/day).
Do you think it's worth taking for the learning and experience, or should I only consider it if there's a clear path to a paid internship/contract?
Would love to hear from people who've worked in C++, HFT/MFT, or startup infrastructure.

Hi everyone,
Over the past year I've been spending most of my free time learning modern C++, Linux, computer architecture, and competitive programming.
Recently I finished two C++ projects that challenged me much more than I expected.
The first is a systems programming project focused on performance-oriented software engineering.
The second is a low-latency order book inspired by exchange infrastructure. It currently has 50+ GitHub stars and, to my surprise, received reviews and feedback from engineers with HFT backgrounds, including people associated with firms like IMC Trading and Jane Street. Their comments exposed many flaws in my design and gave me a much better understanding of what production-quality low-latency systems require.
I'm still far from an expert, but building these projects taught me significantly more about memory layout, cache efficiency, concurrency, networking, Linux, and modern C++ than simply reading books or watching tutorials.
I'm curious what experienced engineers here think are the next important topics to explore if someone enjoys building low-latency infrastructure. For example:
I'd appreciate any technical feedback or recommendations.
also I am open to work.
Hello everyone,
I want to connect with some of the best programmers at VIT-AP. If you know someone who is good at programming please mention their name.
