What should i expect from the admission interview at TU Darmstadt?

How are the questions? Will they be more technical? Or is it the kind of "tell us about yourself interview?".

(I am applying to the Synthetic Biology master).
Thank you!!!

How do i find out if i would like robotics or not?

I like the ideea of building robots. I don t know if i would enjoy the process or if i have what it takes to work in this field. For some context i come from studying biochem, yet after almost finishing my degree i can t say i like it very much. After much thinking i came to the conclusion that i might like robotics. In terms of math and physics i m avarege but with programming i have minimal experiance. I am willing to learn tho.

My question is: how do i figure out if this is for me before investing a lot of time (aka a degree or smth like that)?

Thank you!!

Can anybody help me with some details about the synthetic biology master?

Hello! I'm an international student just finishing a degree in biochemistry and I plan to apply for the synthetic biology master in the future. I have some questions about it:

  1. How difficult is it to get into this university/master? I know it is a good university but i don't know exactly if my lets say slightly above average academic performance is enough.

  2. What are the opportunities both in research and industry after i finish my studies in this domain?

  3. When they ask for proof of lab work/hrs in the admission process what exactly should i bring?

  4. How was your experience as an international student (if you are one)?

Thank you!!

What should i pick between these 2 options as a total beginer?

Hello! I want to start learning to play some rock/metal songs. i have some limited experience on acoustic guitars from when i was very young but i always wanted to play electric guitars. i have a limited budget around 200-250$ and these are the 2 deals i could find used that seem interesting.

  1. Epiphone Les Paul Studio LT - second hand but with warranty from the store - 130$
  2. Yamaha ERG121C - full bundle with amp, tuner, a distortion pedal, cables etc. - 200$

Other things to consider: i would like to mostly play with headphones since i don't leave alone so the amp is not that important i suppose but still i would love to have one i can use. I do not plan to do more than just play for myself in my room.

Thank you for the help!
