contemplating stopping auvelity

hi all! i’m currently on day 6 of taking this medication just once a day. i’m not sure if i should stick it out, and my dr said it’s up to me, so i could really use some advice and opinions.

the first 2 days i didn’t do much and was kinda numb, then on day 3 i got really depressed and had a panic attack. day 4 i was feeling a little more like myself so i was hopeful and thought i was out of the woods. on day 5 i decided to try and nap, as ive not been sleeping well at all, but when i woke up i felt like i was losing my mind; very disoriented, shaking, teeth chattering. im also going to mention that when i try to sleep it takes forever, and its this weird trance state where i can’t tell ive been out for 2-3 hours, last night was the first night i had any dreams.

today on day 6 (today) i took it and my body decided that it was going to get me high. im aware that its the DXM, but i think its really strange that all the sudden 6 days in its only just having this effect on me.

i haven’t been feeling as depressed which is good, but im really nervous to stay on because i am going back to college in a week and a half and dont want to return feeling all out of it.
ive been on wellbutrin before and im wondering if maybe i should try that out again, and maybe the DXM component isn’t for me.

any thoughts at all would be greatly appreciated :)
and i hope this post makes sense because i am geeked 😭😭

lost picking a new pair of shoes

hi all! i have recently gotten back into running and am having a blast! but it has become apparent that my shoes are in need of an upgrade.

i’m having trouble finding something i like because i have a fair amount of joint problems. im 20 years old, and have struggled with my joints since i was 9 and doing cheerleading. i use to have custom orthotics due to my feet turning in naturally, pigeon toed if you will. i also over pronate. on top of that i have a history of reactive arthritis in my lower back, along with a pinched nerve and a bulging disc in my L5, which i’m not sure the status of as i’ve not had an mri of my back recently.

as far as my running habits go, im a distance runner, with plans to run my first marathon in November 2027. i mostly run on pavement, not trails or grass really, but the option would be nice i suppose. i’m looking for shoes that will be good for training for that, and shoes that will be versatile in general; i guess they’d be daily trainers, shoes i can run recovery and tempo runs in.

ALL of this to say that finding shoes that are comfy is hard. i need shoes that allow me to utilize my strength and energy while running, not have my body overcompensate in weird ways
i’ve been running in new balance 608s, which i know aren’t running shoes. i’ve spent hours in shoe stores trying to find a pair that feels good, but then my ankles start hurting and i can’t tell if i like the shoes. i recently purchased a pair of Hoka Arahi 8s, but when i ran in them i noticed my feet turning in and i kept tripping over them. they felt very heavy in the back and im not sure if they’re a great fit for me.

apologies for the essay but i could really use some guidance, there is so much criteria to look at when considering a pair of shoes and i’m overwhelmed

any help is greatly appreciated :)

PS: i am NOT asking for medical advice, just in need of a shoe that’ll be comfy and versatile to make a very long story short. i wanted to be as detailed as possible but keep getting flagged :(

half marathon and marathon training advice

hi all! i got back into running after a few year break, and need some advice on training.

i just completed Nike Run Clubs “Get started” program (whoop whoop!) and am unsure what to do next.

my original plan was to go in order and complete NRC’s 5k,10k, half marathon, and marathon training programs, but i’m wondering if a different training strategy would be more beneficial. would training for 5ks even help my marathon performance?

my goal is to run a half marathon in May 2027, and run my full marathon in November 2027. if i complete NRC’s training programs in order, 5k-marathon, i’d be done with the marathon training by May 2027, right before i run my half.

how does one go about training for this when it’s a year out?

any and all advice is greatly appreciated!! :D

[ROUTINE HELP] need a new routine

hi everyone! i’m a newcomer to this subreddit and could really use some help!

i’m unhappy with my skin, and the products i’ve been using aren’t doing it for me, so it’s time i switch things up. i’m 20 years old with pretty sensitive skin, and have been trying to find a routine that works for me for the past few years.

my skin always looks rather dull, i get small breakouts kinda frequently that typically consist of black heads that turn red on my nose, white heads on my cheeks, and red pimples on my forehead and cheeks as well. i’m also concerned about wrinkles because im starting to notice some lines that i think are showing up rather premature considering im 20🤷‍♀️

ive been using mostly lush products because i like that they use clean ingredients, and what the brand itself stands for.

i’m looking for products or brand recommendations, and ANY advice in general would be greatly appreciated!!!
