Anyone tested if a dark rock slim is sufficient for a 9600x?
I know the dark rock slim has claims a tdp of 180w but that doesn’t seem realistic given the performance of other coolers the same size.
Planning new build, but the cpu air cooler I had in mind kinda blocks the VRM heatsink.
It would just barely fit, only 1mm horizontal clearence between VRM heatsink and cooler tower.
One would think the air going through the cpu cooler tower would cool the VRM heatsink too but there is a 40mm gap under the cpu cooler heatsink, and the vrm heatsink is only 35mm tall. So it‘s not in the line of airflow from the cpu cooler.
Will this be a problem or not?

What’s a quiet air cooler for a 9600x?
Also where I live a be quiet dark rock slim is on sale, rated for 180w tdp according to manufacturer. Not sure if that‘s overkill or not for a 9600x as I’m not sure how to find the actual max heat produced by the cpu. Please do educate me!
