After seeing how messy flat hunting became with fake listings, spam, and brokerage issues, I started building FlatNest. Sharing a short 40-sec demo — would love feedback on whether this actually solves a real problem.
Over the last few weeks I’ve been redesigning FlatNest from scratch based on user feedback.
The main goal was simple:
make finding rooms & flatmates in Hyderabad feel cleaner, faster and less chaotic than random WhatsApp groups and spam listings.
New update includes:

• Dark mode + theming

• Cleaner listing pages
• Improved navigation & search flow

Over the last few months I kept seeing the same problems while searching for rooms in Hyderabad:

After getting frustrated with it myself, I started building FlatNest as a side project.

At this point finding a flat in Hyderabad genuinely feels harder than clearing interviews sometimes 😅
You finally find a decent listing and then:
→ broker asks one month commission
→ owner wants 3 months deposit
→ flat looks nothing like photos
→ “semi furnished” means 1 fan + tube light
→ rents touching 30k+ for average 2BHKs
→ random flatmate drama waiting after move-in 😭
And somehow every owner says: “many people are waiting bro”

Was casually checking rents around Madhapur, Kondapur and Gachibowli recently and some owners are quoting absolutely wild prices now.
Half the flats only seem affordable if 3–4 people share together 😅
And decent 1BHKs near office areas are becoming difficult to find without spending a huge chunk of salary.
