So what channel are you all watching the playoffs on? And what streamer or whatever are you using to get there?

We're new in the area and trying to cut the cable cord (and co$t), so have only Google TV, Apple+, Disney+, and Prime. I tried to catch the White Sox earlier but I'm not about to sign up for a whole 'nother streamer for $45 a month, thank you so much, tbs.

Tammy Baldwin talks about introducing a bill to make it mandatory to show local sports teams on free local broadcasts. I tell you what, she's got my vote.

Has anyone here taken part in the Untitledtown literary festival in previous years? It looks kinda awesome.

I have my mother's 1962 mantel clock, but the poor thing stopped and I can't get it to start again. And of course it should be cleaned and generally spruced up by an expert. I grew up hearing it chime the quarter hours, and I'd love to hear its little voice again. Anyone have any recommendations for an antique clock repair shop in or near Green Bay?

I had my abdominal hyst 30 years ago (yay!!) and never thought to ask. Does the surgeon make a line of stitching across? Or front to back, maybe? Or is it a drawstring sort of arrangement?

I did it!!! 140 lbs, bmi 23.8, size medium!!! Hurray!!!

I did it slow and steady, from 204 to 140 in about 15 months, average loss 1 lb/week, and I think that's been easier on my skin. I do have loose skin but not a whole lot and I'm fine with it (after all, I'm 72).

Now to transition to maintenance! My plan is to stay within 5 lbs of 140 for the long term, i.e., 137 to 142. And I'll be talking with my doctor about that.

I was looking online and Frigidaire puts it right there in the name of the thing: Garage ready. What makes a freezer garage ready? Extra insulation?

So we all know about the series of engineering marvels that keep Chicago from drowning in its own sewage, from jacking up the streets to turning the river around to Deep Tunnel.

The Thornton Reservoir that Deep Tunnel drains all the excess rainwater into is almost full after last week's rain, according to the Sun-Times, and we're supposed to get more rain again later this week. What happens if it fills up? Do they just open the gates and send untreated water down the Sanitary & Ship Canal to St. Louis?

The scale told me this morning that I'm five pounds from goal -- five, 5, five!!

Now I get to think about maintenance. I'd be happy to stay on Zepbound for life, but with a dosage that allows for appetite without food noise, nausea, or heartburn, and💩without constipation or diarrhea. Doesn't that sound nice? My side effects have been minimal but I'd love to say goodbye to them altogether. Wouldn't you?

So I'm rereading the Lord John novellas and novels, and may I say how much I love John's valet Tom Byrd? He is *determined* to keep his lordship's uniforms neat and tidy (against all odds), and that's only the beginning of his dedication to Lord John's welfare. He's a delight.

Who's your favorite character in the Lord John stories?

Do they go together?

I love the old-style cotton and steel spring construction of Beloit's Orthopedic, but my bones demand an adjustable base. Do they work together?

So we're getting ready to sell our century home after thirty years here, and our realtor is giving us lots of good advice. Local market is active, and our excellent school district is a *major* selling point. Our realtor thinks we'll sell fast at a good price.

But boy oh boy, it's a lot of work!! So far we've decluttered like mad, thrown out the wall-to-wall carpeting, refinished the hardwood floors (they turned out *beautiful*), and painted almost the entire interior (I wouldn't have chosen the colors, but hey, not my house anymore). Next thing is to declutter even more, take down the window treatments, move a lot of the furniture to the basement, and clean like maniacs. Then we have picture day and off we go!

But oh, poor me, please can I just get some time to take care of my garden?!?!?

So there's this huge industrial site on the north edge of Howard, like at Velp and Lineville, that looks fresh and new -- but too quiet, like even deserted! What is it?

We want to replace our 30-year-old sofa & comfy chairs with some good quality new pieces. Any stores you'd recommend? Maybe even in Appleton?
