Brother’s Dog
Well I think it has finally happened and my brother is just leaving his dog with us. It is ok, but he is bigger than our other two m, he is a bernedoodle sweetheart, but our lady corgi is a b** sometimes and our bagel mix needs a chill pill most days, both ladies. So big adjustment for them. They got him in 2021, when their second was 1ish they now have the girl they want. So fam of three, brother was on business trip and SIL not keeping track of everyone. Neighbor kids got into the yard and basically started harassing the poor dude. No injuries, but that night she dropped him (a week a go) and other than wanting us to make sure he was up on his shots heard nothing. He was was by the way, but nothing serious like rabies. No pay for that and we can afford it if needed. Just frustrating. At this point I don’t really want him to go back, but there are things with a larger dog that we never wanted to take on. It also means no more helping our local shelter fostering pups and while doing that we know our ladies do not prefer guys.
Parents should just not get dogs or pets at all if they can’t give the same care to them as their kids. At this point just want my brother to help with cost, especially for our vacation plans and vet. Food and all that shit fine, not great but ok.
