Campus selection

Hello, I am planning on applying to SciencesPo and would like to ask for some advice from the reddit community. I am currently stuck between Menton’s undergraduate minor in the middle east etc and Le Havre’s minor in the indo-pacific.

While I love Menton as a place and would like to live there, I find the topic of the middle east fairly mediocre opposed to the indo-pacific which I have much knowledge of the region; have written essays on the region and even a book!

Please offer any guidance, all is welcome!

Pyongyang Textile Mill Information.

As part of a research project into North Korean light industry during the Chollima movement era, I am using the case study of the Pyongyang (now Kim Jong Suk) textile mill of how it was reconstructed and its ability to produce post war eg employment figures etc.

Does anyone have any good sources or information on this area?

Learning Hokkien

Hi, I am considering learning Taiwanese (Hokkien Taiwanese). Should I learn using the Hanzi or with POJ/Tâi-lô romanisation. Does Taiwanese Hokkien ever feature on signs / in writing or is it completely unwritten and just audible instead.

Tips / feedback

I am currently about a fifth of the way through this method

I have made a massive list of ≈500 sentences from different areas of my life which I use in a daily basis into French on spaced repetition

I learn 5 sentences a day ensuring I speak the second the flash card appears to train active recall

Has anyone seen genuine results with this method ie they can come up with their own sentences near naturally after completing or are they just stuck with the scripted list???
